My child loves AIKA. He comes home and is always excited to show us what he has learned. Not only is he learning how to defend himself but he is also more confident and focused in the dojo, at school, and in our home. I would strongly encourage anyone with an interest in Karate to join the AIKA family.

Great school with fantastic teachers. The kids classes teach valuable skills including self-​confidence, discipline and self-​defense. Very happy with our experience!

All of my children attend here, and it has been the best thing for them all! My kids not only have better listening skills, but their confidence, coordination, and physical fitness. They have learned how to defend themselves if they were ever in a real-​life, life-​threatening situation in an environment that is child-​friendly, and encouraging for my children. My middle daughter started at the age of 3 in their Little Dragon Program, and is enjoying it more and more even at the age of 8! And my eldest daughter and son have both earned black belts here, and continue to further their knowledge with these fine instructors. I couldn’t be more pleased with their studies here. Highly recommend this dojo to all parents of young children and teenagers; or even adults. I trained here for a few weeks, and thoroughly enjoyed the teachings of Sensei Steve and Sensei Shannon. Such a great environment to be apart of!

AIKA is amazing! Not only have I learned how to defend myself, but I’ve learned how to be more confident in myself. All of the Senseis are amazing and they teach me and inspire me every time I go to class. AIKA is like my second home and whenever I enter the dojo, all of my worries from the outside world go away. I highly recommend doing karate at Arizona Isshinryu Karate Academy!
