East Valley Computer Repair

John ignored our attempts to find out what was going on with our laptop for almost 5 days. Then when he finally called us, he told us his $ 75 diagnostic charge would go towards the works he performs (data recovery). When the bill came he wanted $ 175 and that $ 75 diagnostic charge all of a sudden became a «trip/​driving charge». When I questioned him about the charge he became frenzied and started talking over me. Then when I kept pushing him on the fact he committed to including the diagnostic charge and he never mentioned a trip charge before, he hung up and refused to answer his phone. When we did get our laptop back… the bottom of it was trashed and screws are bouncing around inside. You can hear them when you pick up the laptop. Seriously avoid him at all costs. Oh, and like the other reviews… he also tried to sell us a used laptop for the same price as a new one would be. So disappointing to have all of that time wasted and to have his word mean absolutely nothing.

Prior to me learning that the person who repaired my computer and before I had trouble with this computer expert (idiot!) I recommend him to my friend that was having problems with her laptop! She took it in, it was a lady remember, he charged her $ 600.00 for a repair. She initially wanted the computer to speak with her grand child. She went to Washington for, four months in the summer and upon returning she tried to Skype with her daughter. Prior to bring the LT to the (repair man) the Skyping worked perfectly. Now she set up her Skype and the sound card was missing. She called him and told him of the problem. His answer I will look at it but it will cost you more money!
My recommendation, «stay awy from thsi scam artist!

Initially, I thought this would be a great option for me. The guy runs his business out of his home & I wanted to give a shot giving my business to a local place instead of the going with the typical corporate computer repair store. My computer had a virus & just needed it removed. Pretty typical dilemma, right?
Well, he removed the viruses were removed along with my whole office suite. When approached the owner said that he told us to give him a disc with the programs. He DID NO such thing! I would have never wanted my computer repaired knowing that the programs I spent my hard earned money on, would be removed. He offered to sell us another one. He wanted to make money on us both coming and going! Sheesh… thanks for not helping whatsoever. I’m left with a computer that does nothing but search the internet.
It’s unfortunate that he couldn’t own up to the mistake & make it right by doing the right thing. He was so busy talking fast & trying to cover his A** it would have been much easier to fix the problem. Boo to East Valley Computer Repair! So much for trying to promote local business. If you care for your computer & everything on it, steer clear & do yourself a favor by going elsewhere.
