After a free trial lesson, we bought a Groupon for one month and asked my nearly 8 year old nephew to commit for just one month at two lessons per week and then decide whether he’d like to continue. I couldn’t be more pleased with the instruction, values, and attention he’s received so far. Grand Master Rubben took time to teach him the conventions and etiquette of the dojang where he would be learning. Master Aaron has a fun, patient, and consistent teaching style. They also plan events to build friendships and community like their recent«Kicnic» which included a bbq, volleyball and other fun activities for the kids. When we moved to Phoenix in the late 1980’s, my family searched for a real taekwondo dojang for my brother to continue his training. Most martial arts studios had kids going through the motions with weak movements and little consistency in values or training. How I wish First Taekwondo had been around for my brother back then. I’m grateful it is here for my brother’s son. After my nephew’s first lessons, he was really tired. Now he’s in week three and he’s already said he wants to continue. I see his strength building and his confidence growing. Thank you First Taekwondo!
