My home needed an outlet replaced in the bathroom with GFI. I was quoted $ 65/hour plus cost of outlet. Repairman came out, was prompt, and did a good job(thanks Larry) in about 30 minutes. But when i got the bill, we were charged for the full hour(which is fine) but there was a trip charge for almost the same cost as the hourly rate. I am told this charge is for gas and time to pick up equipment/materials. I am not sure where they drive to get their materials, but there is hardware store 2 blocks from my house. So the job done was done well, but I did not feel that the company was upfront with the cost. I would have paid less to have an actual electrician come out to do the same job.

My rental home had many build-in cabinets that needed to be removed and threw away, two toilet sinks had problems needed to be fixed. I called some«top rated» handyman on Unilocal list; they all thought the job was too complicated and didn’t want to do it. One even didn’t call me back; not sure how they got such good reviews. Finally, I found Handiman, after explaining what needed to be done, they came the next day and got the job done right away. Eric was the one they sent over to my house, he was already at house waiting for us to get there, He treated our house like his own and carefully took the cabinets off without causing any damage to the wall and cabinets. He had done a wonderful job, we were very impressed by the job he did. When our old handyman retired, we were worried that we couldn’t find any trustworthy handyman to help us. Now we don’t need to worry about it any more because if our house has any problems, we know Handiman will take care of it for us.
