I strayed away from my fav optical store, Optical Shops of Aspen, due to 50% off on a pair of Prada sunglasses and now regret my decision. The frames were listed retail at $ 390 and at 50% off were a more manageable $ 195 with the discount. I had seen these same glasses for $ 300 and asked if they could match it and was told no. Hey I get it, mark ups happen when you shop local. I bought the glasses and now that I am home I have buyers remorse. Not because of the glasses themselves, they are beautiful, but because I found them full retail price at Sun Glass Hut for $ 250. Don’t even get me started on how much they are on Amazon. I get it, I bought local vs. online which can make for some pretty different prices but $ 140 difference for the same pair of sunglasses is a HUGE mark up. They are final sale so I am stuck with them. Shop around before you buy anything from Paris Optique.

Hostile business. I went into the Chandler store to simply inquire about a première lens asking two questions to Fabrizio Ruggiero, Vice President of Paris Optique USA. Wow what a hot head. My two big questions pertained to premier lens for his recommendation to a highly recommended brand of lens. He started to answer one question then looked down at my Rx and to the extreme became temperamental. I was appalled and shocked at his subjective implications he made to me personally accusing me of trying to use his expertise and his knowledge for my own capital gain. I assured him that was not my intention and I was strictly there to invest in a premier lens if I could understand more about the type of lens he would use for my prescription. If I’m going to invest over $ 1,200 for frames and lens you bet I want to know his credentials and the optical boutiques lab/product they use. He became extremely defensive and blurted out«if you don’t like the way we do things here we don’t want you to ever come back, that’s how we do business here.» I then told him I was recommended to him by a professional doctor(you can bet I will be reporting back to the doctor.) Disgusting that I purchased several high-end brand sunglasses and frames in the past from this store but never had a prescription filled here; thank goodness. I won’t be patronizing this business with my money. I can peddle my business down to Ilori where they treat their customers with respect. I could never trust this establishment to be a reliable source to guarantee their product with the statement Mr. Ruggiero made to me. Bad behavior, bad attitude, and bad business. Good bye Paris Optique forever!

Do not go here… Colin Trout: worst customer service and racist to boot. On the three occasions, I have had to deal with him he has been nothing but rude and should not be in the customer service industry. Luckily, they have Shana there who keeps me going there and have bought 3 glasses from her. After tonite’s incident though, I will never go back though. Summary of Colin’s quotes this evening as I picked up some ordered glasses and asking about an additional fee added to bill: «go back to California» «no one wants your kind here» «I don’t have a manager» «u either want them or you don’t.» My 15 year old daughter was present and nearly started crying. It also led to a 15 minute growth moment for her on how not to act in life. To the owners and management, please watch Colin. He is a liability, racist and a true hinderance to your business. I am hoping for just being a human, he was just having a bad day and we caught the brunt of it.

Simply the Best Place in Phoenix to get lenses and unique frames. I have been a repeat customer of Fabrizio for a decade now and he is always willing to assure your happiness with your lenses and frames. Adjustments are always free. On one more recent occasion Fabrizio caught a mistake in the eye doctor script– that’s just the kind of service everyone wants. Their Scottsdale Location is also excellent!

I was fortunate to work with Shanna Hood who had serioius patience with me not finding suitable sun glass frames. The one I liked was damaged during install of the lenses, a replacement frame was not available because this line was discontinued. I actually bought another manufactures frame which was OK. then Shanna found another frame that I originally wanted. She swapped the lens from the pair I had previoiusly bought. I really appreciate her efforts and would recommend using Paris Optique. Ask for Shanna.

Wow. I am so grateful for the customer service at Paris Optique today. A pair of Oliver Peoples glasses were purchased for me as a gift less than a month ago from David who was extremely helpful and patient with me. Choosing which glasses to go with has always been a challenge for me, so much so that I usually leave without purchasing. However, not feeling rushed or guilty about the time spent in the store we bought my pair and left excited and happy. Today the sides of the frame on the glasses were bent out and unable to be worn. I was so worried I was sick because of how much was spent on them.($ 405 which is the same price they sell for on the Oliver People’s website) I called Paris Optique incredibly concerned about what to do. David said to come on in for a look. When I got to the store David and Shanna were both extremely nice and actually kept me pretty calm. I was seriously stressing out because this is one of the most expensive gifts I’ve ever been given. I don’t even spend that kind of money on my amazing grandmother who raised me! They said to give them 30 minutes. When I came back they were back to perfect condition. Gorgeous! I was SO relieved!!! No charge, no hassle, no guilt trip, all smiles. Shanna kept reassuring me that if anything like that happened again to just bring them back in. While I was there I asked about getting a different case for the glasses. Shanna was very polite and gave me another option. We both agreed on the case I already had and she explained a better way to place them in the case. Again very calming and patient person! She kept me calm through out the process. I really appreciate both of them being so helpful!
