Provision Coffee Bar

The coffee cup lid is all to blame!!! I really want to leave 4.5 or 4 and ¾ stars, but fractions aren’t a thing with Unilocal yet. I have to admit I was a tiny bit confused first approaching this coffee bar because it’s combined with something called the Palette Collective, which I later gathered is a place with space to rent to entrepreneurs (particularily those in the salon industry, but that wasn’t specifically clear, not even on their website).
Let me back track and say right away the coffee was FanTastic and the barista (should male coffee servers be baristas or baristos? I never understood Italian…) anyway, my barista was very friendly and helpful. First entering the space where the coffee bar is located, however, is a bit intimidating for those of us Super WallFlower types. It was a small space and gave me the feeling everyone looked up when I walked in and wanted to say ‘What are you here for?’ But I played it cool and let my presence interrupt the casual conversation of those hanging out at the coffee bar for the barista to see how I could be helped.
I don’t know if I had a lot of choices honestly, I went for a quick and easy Americano to minimize the disruption of my presence. While this was being prepared, I looked around and noticed how severely under fashioned I was. Everyone had great hair and enviable garb. That’s when I started to suspect Palette Collective may have something to do with the beauty industry, but like I said, even the website doesn’t make this expressly clear. A directory of services within could have helped immensely.
But finally, the dreadful lid… the ONLY reason for my missing 5^th star. That doggone lid started popping off from the moment I left the building and would not snap back on regardless of my pleading, physical forcing, and many attempts at manipulation. Maybe I got a faulty cup or a faulty lid or it was just my day to wear some coffee stains around town. Whatever it was, that cup and lid convinced me to toss out over ½ a cup of wonderful coffee. I may have to try again for another cup one day, but I may wait until I convince a friend to accompany me or for when I get my hair brushed a little better. Overall, GREAT coffee… but terrible cup.

This place is simply amazing. I love discovering unique craft businesses hidden within Arizona and this is just that. I wouldn’t say i’m a coffee «snob», but I definitely appreciate a great cup of coffee and a shop that takes pride in what/​how they brew. I was told about the Nitro Cold Brew and decided I had to make a visit.
I stopped in on a Saturday around 3p and sat at the bar. I tried a sample of the cold brew, which was amazing; very similar to a Guiness. I opted for a cup of pour over coffee since I was in need of a bag of beens for home, so figured I would try before the buy. They used a V60 for the pour over (definitely adding that to a wish list for home), which i felt was brewed perfectly. I say perfectly because the pour over was a circular technique with total brewing time at 3:09. Outstanding! I also opted for the Artisan bread with Nutella… because I’m an adult and can have Nutella in the afternoon if i want.
I chatted with two of the Baristas and can vouch that they really take pride in what they do. I feel that some Baristas convey a sense of pretentiousness if you ask for something that «upsets the harmony» of a cup of their coffee. This is not the case here: They take the time to explain everything that will go into that cup and will make the cup how YOU prefer it. In three words: Excellent customer service!
All that said, I simply cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend Provision Coffee Bar. We simply need more shops and more people like them.

The coffee is amazing! It is fresh doesn’t have that bitter aftertaste. I will definitely be coming back!

Ah I love this place! So far I’ve only had coffe, no food or anything yet. But it is so fresh and delicious and the staff doesn’t make you feel all rushed. I went on the weekend and the line went fast and it wasn’t too crowded. I don’t know that it’s quick enough to go before work or anything but a nice treat for sure.

Forget big box coffee chains and go to Provision! Excellent service and relaxed atmosphere. You must try their one-​of-​a-​kind NITRO COLD BREW (iced coffee with a little carbonation– served from a keg). Coffee matters people… get out of the house and try this spot today.

The staff is extremely friendly, the ambiance is trendy/​hipster and the coffee is smooth tasting. I ordered an iced coffee with coconut milk and I will have to come back to try their white tea spritzer with honey!

This place is very interesting and I’ve never seen something like it before. This place has it all coffee, tea, wine, cider, beer, and its attached to a salon. It’s small but a nice place to hangout and have a drink with a friend. You can also go get your hair done, have a couple drinks, and relax at the same time. The owner was very nice and friendly while we were there. His recommendations were also perfect! If your in the area I definitely recommend stopping by this place.

Knowledgeable, friendly, consistent, fresh and inviting. Everything I like about a good coffee bar.
