I was referred to Amy Rova by a friend to do some color correction work. My hair was really damaged when an effort to color it silvery-​blue turned out bad, and the prior stylist tried to fix it a few times, over-​processing it and leaving it mushy and like straw and the wrong color.
I met with Amy for a consultation and we spent a long time talking about what I wanted, and if it was possible to get there. She even talked to the prior stylist to find out what was used on my hair to help her help me get the best results. She set me up with a product to take home and use for a few days before I went back to start the process of lifting the multiple layers of mystery colors I had in my hair.
I won’t lie — it took a long time to get the color out and to prep my hair for the new color, but I think that was because she was being patient and trying to keep my hair as healthy as possible rather than just piling color on top of more color.
Meanwhile all of the other stylists in the salon were warm and friendly, and they all seem to get along and know each others clients, which is very nice.
In the end, my hair turned out just how i wanted it, and it feels healthier than it did when I went in. If you are looking for color correction, Amy Rova is the person you need to talk to. If i can figure out how to add a picture, I’ll do that.

I purchased a Groupon for a haircut and partial highlights with Amy and I’m glad I did. My hair has been suffering from neglect for the past 6 months due to lack of time but finally, FINALLY, it’s a long weekend and hooray for salon time! The salon is tucked into a small strip mall off of Ray Road (cross street is Kyrene) and it is easy to miss. However, upon entering the salon, I was happy to see inviting brown tones and a very clean interior. Amy is super cheerful and outgoing and we chatted easily about all kinds of things. I was pretty flexible about what shade I wanted my highlights to be and how much hair to cut; after all, I told Amy that she is the professional and I’d try anything… within reason! She suggested a colour and recommended I get a few inches snipped off… as well as bangs. Cool! I’m really happy with my cut and colour (it’s a brighter red than I thought I’d get, but I really like the vivid hue) as it looks and feels great. My husband is a guy who needs some time to get used to change, especially cosmetic ones!, and his first words upon seeing my new hair were «That’s really cute!» Amy, those are high words of praise. :)

Amy is The Best!!! I first met her 9 years ago, when I asked her to chop off my long hair so I could donate it. She was incredibly thorough before she cut anything– she made me look at a million pictures, and asked me if my hair would do this or that when it was wet or if I let it air dry. She really took the time to get to know my particular hair and therefore I ended up with a fantastic haircut. So much so, that people stop me in the street, and at the grocery store, just to tell me what a wonderful haircut I have! In the last two years I’ve changed my hair cut a couple of times and it’s always fun and exciting. Amy’s great with color as well.
I’ve been taking both of my kids to her and they’re always happy with their haircuts as well. Does haircuts have ranged from normal haircuts to animé haircuts to Lego haircuts. Amy is always game, but won’t do silly things.
I think what I love the most about her as a stylist is that she really pays attention to what you want and takes that and merges it with what your hair will actually do, so you end up looking and feeling fabulous !

I have been going here for facials with Heather and she recommended Amy for hair color. I have found both services to meet and exceed my expectations. Amy has made the perfect color mixture for my skin tone and 60+hair. I hold her responsible for allowing me to pass for a few years younger ;) Her cuts are consistent and I don’t have to deal with the «just cut» adjustment, hair falls into place. She good energy and talent make my appointments enjoyable not a chore.
Heather the owner, does my facials and has made me aware of treatments that I didn’t know were available for a reasonable price. Again, need to fight the aging effects and she has improved my skin texture and brightness. I have/​had a problem with millia sp? and they have just about all disappeared. Her treatment are relaxing and she is very knowledgeable. I am so glad I finally made the decision to leave the salon I used for many years and came to Beauremy based initially on a groupon.

I purchased the microderm and chemical peel off of groupon, both of which I have had done before elsewhere. Heather far exceeded any experience I have ever had at another salon or spa. She was so warm and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. She really took her time to go over every detail of my skin and my needs and my skin looked and felt amazing afterwards! I moved to the area after being with my past hairdresser for 10 years!
The 1^st haircut was good. The 2^nd time I went in for a color and cut. OMG. I was charged $ 140 for a color/​cut and a few foils, which is more than I usually pay but typical for the area. There must have been a flop during coloring and at the shampoo bowl I was rinsed and another color reapplied. After the color, My Hair was very over processed dry and breaking and the color washed out. I use professional products on my hair, trying to mend it myself at home. I called a week before my next color to get it hopefully professionally conditioned as I was reluctant to put my hair through another processing. I stated that I wanted to switch stylists as this was not a good start, but I’d like to stay in the same salon.
The snippy stylist chewed me out asking why I didnt come in sooner and didnt think she damaged my hair. She then wanted to charge me to treat my hair that she had fried. She finally agreed to treat it for free but would send me out with a wet head, or I would need to pay for the style.
The owner of the salon was standing and watching this whole scene unfold.
I had enough. I got up and said forget it. I stated this really is too bad as I would have stayed inside this salon.
I called my past hair stylist and she booked me in. I will drive the Hour and go back to my faithful past stylist.

Angie has been cutting and coloring my hair for 4 years. She listens carefully before transforming me into Cinderella for the day. Hair cuts are fab but her skill at color is the best I have experienced. Complete strangers approach me to tell me «you are rocking that color» or «your hair color is the bomb». We are talking 20−30−40 year olds who love this old gal’s hair. Go see Angie, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a great little salon. I see Heather for my skincare needs. She is very professional, personable, honest and knew more than the dermatologist I went to for treating sun damage. I highly recommend her.

I get my facials and skin care from Heather. She is absolutely the best. She is very knowledgeable about skin and skin care products. My skin looks and feels amazing after she is done. Love her! She is the Best. I highly recommend her.

Angie Tarsha at Salon Beauremy is probably one of the best professionals I’ve ever had cut my hair. I’ve got this quirky, grey/​silver hair that’s coarse and hard to deal with. Nobody every seems to get it right for me until Angie started cutting my hair! She even gives me flexible times to fit my hectic schedule! She is the best and I’m not sure there is anyone better! Amy Rova McClintic is an amazing stylist! She listens intently when you explain what you want, then she does her magic! I am sending my daughter to her next! Amy is the only one I trust that can take her brown hair to blonde with a natural transition. Not to mention, Amy is just darling! You have to spend a few hours with your hair stylist, so you should enjoy their company! Amy is sweet and professional! She really knows her stuff! Amy at Just a Tease!

This review is related to Betti only. I called to schedule my first appt with them and the girl on the phone gave me prices and mentioned their newest employee Betti was only charging $ 25 for haircuts, I assume to drum up business, but she assured me Betti had been cutting hair for 20 years and had lots of experience. When I spoke to Betti on the phone I asked if she had experience with thin hair because my hair can be difficult to cut giving it enough style without taking too much volume away. She said she had plenty so I had high hopes that I could get a cheap good quality haircut!
When I arrived Betti began talking about my relationship with my hair and how I should call it «fine» instead of «thin» because of the connotations for how I relate to my hair … I didn’t really care, I just badly needed my split ends cut off and some style put back into my hair. She finished cutting it wet and asked if I ever tried drying it without a round brush on a lower setting to minimize split ends. I said no because it never has enough volume that way so she started blow drying it that way to see how it would turn out. Well as predicted, I didn’t like it, it was a mix between bed hair and air drying … so she graciously straightened it, at which point I realized she basically only trimmed the bottom of my hair and it had even less style than when I came in. I asked if she could put more layers in it and she told me it had plenty of layers, so I asked if there was anything else she could do to give it more style. She handed me a mirror and showed me all the (very few) layers it had in it. I asked if maybe texturizing it would help (this was really stretching my knowledge of hair cutting), and that did help a little, but since I know my limited knowledge of hair I like having a hair stylist who comes up with plenty of options that work for my hair … I didn’t get that here.
Overall my hair looks like I’m about due for another hair cut, with less split ends than normal. If you are older or like a very simplistic hair cut, she might be fine but if you are a young adult or like a cut that gives your hair lots of natural style, I’d look somewhere else. I’m going back to driving 45 minutes to my old salon in Mesa. Oh and most stylists take credit cards but Betti is not signed up yet so I had to leave to get cash and come back.

I am a complete snob when it comes to getting my hair cut. I have to find the right person and once I do it takes a death or a move to make me quit them.
Angie from Just A Tease is one of the great ones. She is not only professional and great at what she does she loves it and that energy comes through everytime you are in her chair. Not to mention the place has gone through a complete makeover and looks and feels great; have a glass of wine or water and sit back and relax.
Many of my great friends both male and female go to her, and she does such great work I even recommended her to mom. :)
Use her I guarantee you will never be disappointed.

I’ve been searching for a good salon, since I moved to AZ. Somewhere w/​reasonable prices, friendly ppl that do a great job… I think I may have found my place!
I went here to get a facial and waxing. Heather is GREAT! I really enjoyed my facial, she was able to tell me exactly what I needed, what products to use and explained everything she was doing, why and what.
The salon is small, the stylist work independently and seem to have great prices and specials going on. Can’t wait to go again!
