Sunbird Golf Club

This place was a total cow pasture. Greens were like cement, ponds stunk like dead fish and the home owners, God forbid were pissed when my son’s ball went a bit astray and landed in a back yard. Some little weasel tried to confront me because my son didn’t yell Fore. As if We could see him sitting in his Walmart Lounger. This place isn’t worth the $ 21 for 18 with a cart. Drive 2 miles either way to Beer Creek or Lonetree.

The most disrespectful and rude staff I have ever encountered in my 15 years of golf. I’m actually pissed I have to give them one star. I booked a tee time for 12 through golfnow. To my fault I was running behind and literally walked up to the pro shop desk at 1158, the ass behind the desk rudely tells me I’m late and that they can’t get me out on the course. They go on to say it was a shotgun tee off (nowhere noted in the reservation online) and I’m just out of luck cause they already started. I asked for a manager and then the jerk behind the desk asks me if I’m always this inconsiderate showing up right at the tee time… and then turns to the other guy behind the desk starts talking crap about me… really? I tell him there is no need for being rude to me and we end up in a yelling match. Then the manager was just as worthless, tells me I can’t have a rain check for my prepaid tee time and that he can’t help me. I had to leave and call golfnow to get a refund. Absolutely insane. For me half the golf experience is how I’m treated by the staff when I’m paying money for something, never would I ever visit this course again even if they paid for it. I have ran into some staffs at these retirement home courses where maybe it’s not the warmest welcome due to not being a 70 year old resident of the community, but this was ridiculous. Complete A-​holes.

Nice course situation inside a retirement community. Houses are a bit close to the course but the greens was nice and green. There are cute little wood carved animals along the holes.
