Business name changed to Arirang! Don’t bother going… This place was not prepared for a party of five and up. The customer service here is horrendous. We waited for awhile until the grill was cleaned. That’s understandable if it took 5 minutes as discussed but it actually took them 20 minutes to clean. We had to ask for plates, drinks, sauce bowls several times until our request was fulfilled. It’s bothersome when something has been asked of several times and they don’t care. We were neglected as soon as the food arrived. No water refill. We had to wave a waitress down so many times for the bill. They are disorganized and the food was mediocre. Other Korean establishments are better(hint: Hodori). PS. Party of five and up, be prepared for 18% gratuity! The price for bad service… Le sigh. Thumbs down!

Gosh I love this place! I will continue to come here for my sushi needs! My boyfriend brought me here for the first time a couple months ago and I was kinda iffy about it because I’m use to going to expensive places like RA etc. but I still went and I’m happy he took me. The all you can eat is a great price! He did that and got about 5 rolls for 23 $ I mean come on! That’s amazing! Yes the waitresses check your table constantly to make sure the people who order the AYCE aren’t sharing their food but at least my cup stays full:) Now we went here on Valentine’s Day and we both did the AYCE and we sat at the sushi bar with wonderful service again! The lady behind the bar was so sweet and kind, she just made us have a great time. Of course the sushi was delicious again. We got 8 rolls to share and 2 appetizers for 48 $ it was just perfect! I will be a return customer for life !

I love all the sides they offer, and that they give you the option to either cook the food for you or let you cook it yourself. The chicken is my favorite of all the other Korean places I have dined, but the bulgogi is sometimes dry. My husband is the bulgogi fan of the family and never wants to come here for that reason. The barley tea is also really good. Last time we went the service was awful though. They also changed the name but it seems to be the same menu. They still have sushi as well.

Really good Korean BBQ, and you grill it yourself at your table. Their sizzling tofu soup is great as well. Highly recommended if you enjoy kalbi ribs or bulgogi.

I was torn on whether I should try this place or not. The Unilocal reviews were so divided from one extreme to another… Half seems to love it, half seems to either had bad service or bad food… Oh well. I decided to bite the bullet and check it out for myself. My coworker had mentioned this place has good bulgogi and I had to try it out. I’m glad I did. Thankfully, the young waiter with glasses everyone mentions as a demon-waiter wasn’t there. Instead, there were three waitresses who were quite nice and attentive. I ordered the bulgogi lunch bento and am so happy I made that decision. First, there is so much food in the bento box, I was very full afterwards. They were not stingy on the portion of meat either. The meat was tender and deliciously well seasoned and marinated. It was not obnoxiously overwhelming with a standout flavor but rather had a good balance. The side banchan was cucumber kimchi, cabbage kimch, bean sprouts and seaweed stalks. All which were delightfully well prepared and seasoned. Whoever is cooking back in the kitchen is a great cook! Tasted like my grandmothers country style cooking. I’d go back anytime! As a matter of fact, I went back to the office and asked my coworker to join me the next day :)

We have been this place few times. BBQ is great, Korean dishes are good, Sushi is so so, price is reasonable. That is why I gave it a solid 4 star.

The service here is so lovely and accommodating. Feels like a family owned businesses. The bbq especially the pork and beef were incredible and the sushi was well cooked too.

I love this place! I live right down the street. If I feel like having sushi, I head to Takamatsu.

Kitchen staff who comes out from the back door always shows a very rude attitude(they spit on the ground-yuck!!! So disgusting!) It doesn’t simply make me want to walk into this restaurant to eat.

I used to eat at this place a lot because I loved the all you can eat sushi. When I went recently I expected nothing less than amazing sushi but come to find out they raised the price and removed most of my favorite items from the menu. I had not ordered anything except a water and decided to leave the restaurant. As I was getting up to leave the sushi chef got really upset and started yelling in Korean. Needless to say I will never be returning here again.

This place is the closest Korean BBQ place within the Chandler area, so we’ve tried it a few times. At first this place was pretty decent, it seems pretty dead most of the time. Customer service could’ve been better. They even stressed about tip once. Food wise, it was pretty decent. I liked that we had the option to cook the meat ourselves. Other than that, I haven’t gone back because of the customer service.

One of my favorite go to spots, I beg to go here often. The BEST Korean soup around… I love this place. The food is fantastic, the selection is HUGE, the service is great — you need not look any further. I mean it!!! You will love it!

If you’re a sushi lover then you came to the right place. For 22 dollars a person, you have all you can eat sushi. They have a good list of them too. The sushi always come out fresh and delicious. There hasn’t been a sushi that I didn’t like. There is a missing star because their customer service could be a lot better. I wish they could be more friendly. Other than that, it’s definitely a good place to come over for sushi.

It was in the early 2000’s when I had my first taste of Korean barbecue. It was at the Takamatsu down in Phoenix and I thought it was the greatest thing ever to be able to get Japanese food along with your Korean grilled meats. Wow! Since those innocent times, the Phoenix area has grown greatly in the food scene and I have seen the light. I’ve long ruled out Takamatsu to get my Korean eats but I must admit, it’s been a minute since I’ve had their sushi and on an invite to test out their AYCE sushi tonight, I figured it was worth a try and another visit. What a mistake. I wish I can take back my $ 23.99 and go elsewhere. The fish isn’t fresh, the cuts are uneven, and there’s just entirely too much filler rice. I get that it’s AYCE but never have I experienced a place that would justify adding hella rice and barely any goods. There was also way too much vinegar in the rice and the acidity made my stomach unhappy. Don’t get me started on how oily the Las Vegas roll was. The service was pretty non-existent on top of the sub-par food. There were at least three servers and only ten tables. Most people were grilling so it’s not like they needed much attention. We were the only ones doing AYCE and it seemed like the servers were going out of their way to avoid eye contact and collecting our order sheet. Since we were getting plates upon plates for our orders, we had a small mountain of dishes building which we stacked nicely and no one to collect them. It’s a small thing but I wish they whisked them away. Anywho, never again, Takamatsu. We had a good run in those good old innocent and naïve days but with all the competition out there, y’all just can’t keep up. Peace.

When we visited Intel, we had dinner at Takamatsu at Chandler, AZ. It has big place for big groups and we can enjoy Japanese food and Korean food at the same time. You can eat sushi at here but also you can eat every kind of Korean food. Food is tasty. Takamatsu means big pine trees and also city in Shikoku in Japan.

Four Stars due to service. Really good food. A friend suggested this restaurant for a small group. We ordered our drinks and all you can eat sushi. We were served water and half of our drinks never arrived. The sushi was flavorful and we had many favorites. We ordered eight rolls to begin. They can out in threes as soon as the were finished. We had others at our table who were served entrees right away which was great. Our server did not come back to our table after some of the first dies wee served. We ate at least 16 rolls. The miso soup was on par. But when our check arrived we were charged for drinks that never arrived or were placed on our bill twice. The server who had taken over running our bill had to print corrected receipts. They would not split the bill either so we spent a while tabulating the 9 way split.

This place looks like it changed ownership? We’ve been here b4 n the service was fair to good. Its gotten considerably worse. It was 845pm and we were the only table being served. The latest Unilocal reviews complained about poor service n rude wait staff. I’m in agreement after last night. Also adding the tip to yr bill for a party of 4 is just plain wrong. We will not be going back. There are plenty of good Korean restaurants in the valley.

We went to Takamatsu last night and hated it. That restaurant is a perfect candidate for kitchen nightmares, and I only experienced the disgusting mess of the dining room. Greasy Dust is on all undisturbed surfaces and the floor and table were so sticky I didn’t want to touch the table. Grease was on the walls where the grill covers were propped up and obviously wants regularly cleaned. The money they charge obviously isn’t going towards the restaurant. The fish in the sushi was not fresh and made both my husband and i sick. The service was crap and they charged us for things we asked for but they never delivered. Will Not ever be going there again.

Definitely the last time I come here. I used to be a regular but now the customer service is so bad it’s ridiculous. And ever since Richard the old owner left, the service only gotten worst and the food quality itself dropped. Spicy pork is full of fat. The bulgoli is dry and livery tasting. If the food was good and the service is bad, I would still man it out and come here but now that both is horrible, no reason in coming back. After 5 years it’s time to say goodbye.
