First off I want to say I NEVER write reviews but I feel like the customer service I have received TWICE in the past month was so rude that I needed to speak on it. I went in looking for a buzz lightyear pajama in the infant size and asked if there was any more left somewhere else and swear to you the lady rolled her eyes at me just for asking a question. I then called weeks later to see if they restocked and I was told«no all I have is costumes I don’t have pajamas» really? You’re not even going to look? Rude lazy staff. You work at Disney for Christ sakes. Cheer it up.

Do you find yourself asking friends to build a snowman, even though you live in the burning dry oven heat of Arizona? Do you imagine a train falling of a cliff when you can’t remember what you were saying? Sob uncontrollably at one, possibly all, of the Toy Story movies? If you answered yes to any of the above questions then you know The Disney Store is the place where the dreams that you wish in your heart can come true. Especially, if your dreams involve trying to fit yourself into xxl kid size dress and children shoes so you can pretend to be a princess. Whoops. Did I say that out loud? This is awkward… Yeah, you will slightly groan little inside when you realize that Yoda and Chewie live here along with Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Jack Skellington, Buzz, Woody, Dumbo, Bambi, Baymax, Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Maleficent, about 7 dwarfs, a tiny mermaid, clown fish who have a knack for getting lost, some pirates, Mulan, Cinderella, Pluto, Mickey and Minnie. :sigh: However, the store is setup brilliantly, has TONS of merchandise and is a lot of fun. So while you hum It’s A Small World to yourself at the check out counter, take a moment to pause and enjoy the movie that is being projected in the Enchanted Forest or contemplate how to make the sparkly glitter tile work in your own home.(Yes, I wish I had that tile too!)

Disney does so much dead on, perfect, right it’s ridiculous. The stores are no exception. This store is so much better than Arizona Mills location. Employees are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We love the viewing area with a jukebox type machine where my child can choose the store’s music selection. Little touches of magic are nice and could possibly distract you from the prices for the costumes. Check the back left for clearance.

I may be a Disney shop a holic, but the clothes are so cute for my baby. True about 4x more expensive, but so adorable. It is also one of the nicer disney stores in az. If you want to find decoration for baby’s decoration, go online though. They don’t carry in it the store.

Wish the store was a little bigger but had a great selection and very nice staff! Store is clean and easy to get through! One of the few stores I’ve been in that also have a Star Wars selection too!

Came here for my 20 year old son so he could pick up a gift for a friend. A few kids running around –kinda funny cuz one overheard me and brought their sibbling over to apologize for their bad behavior. Admirable. And looking back I should have said something to their parents. People working here are almost too helpful. It was the holiday season so I imagine that’s understandable. Still I will keep my visits to the Disney store in the mall to a minimum since they really don’t cater to my needs as a Disney Park and Pluto fan.

I have to say that while I am a huge Disney fan, I am more an online shopper. That said, this store is MAGICAL. When they completed the redesign of the store, my daughter went from being okay with just shopping at Macy’s with mom to… «Can I PLEASE go to the Disney Store? Just to look? Please?» on every visit to the mall. The trees show different digital images at different times. There is a place for kids to watch movie and video clips. The walls actually have hidden pictures that show up randomly. Sometimes you can catch Tinkerbell flying across the top of the store. Then, there is the castle. The castle has a magic mirror that is activated by waving wands, crowns, tiaras and some shoes in front of gems atop the mirror. Once activated, the mirror shows a snippet of your favorite Disney princesses. The one thing I do NOT like about the castle is its location to the side of the entrance. While visually interesting, it is dangerous. How do I know? When my daughter was two years old, we told her we were leaving the store. She bolted toward the castle and, even with two parents running toward her, she disappeared. I was frantically looking for her everywhere in the store. The Disney cast members were RIGHT on top of the situation and were using their radio to notify every employee to look for a child matching her description. It turns out, my daughter bolted THROUGH the castle into the mall and into Macy’s. Her dad found her, but it could have been a much worse situation. It was the scariest moment of my life. We instituted a «no going to the Disney Store without at least two adults present» rule that has remained in force to this day. Of course, older children aren’t likely to just bolt… but still! One other thing I like about Disney Store is that if they do not have something in stock, they will order it for you with free shipping to your home. That came in handy this season, with the introduction of Tinkerbell’s sister Periwinkle. I didn’t have to worry about looking for the doll at another mall; it arrived at my home in time for Christmas. Of course, if you check out my pictures you will see one thing I do not like about Disney Store: the store opening!
I once waiting several minutes after their stated opening time just so a little boy could«open» the store with a giant key. I don’t know if this happens every day, but I was there waiting for the store to open and they just stood there looking at me until a child approached the store. Then they asked him if he would like to open it. It was a little annoyance, but the boy sure seemed to love the experience. Disney knows how to brighten days! Check it out sometime. It’s pretty cool.

Kids love Disney, and so do I. One of my favorite things at this location(as opposed to the AZ Mills location) is the magic princess mirror. Grab any of the princess items(shoes, tiara, wand, etc) off the rack, and wave the package with the UPC symbol facing the jewels and mirror, and after a few seconds, that particular princess will appear in the mirror with a little story for the kids.

The Disney Store is our go to store when we have time to kill or need a break from shopping at Stride Rite and Gymboree. The Disney Store seems to be slowly morphing into the Magic Kingdom with tunnels through plush toy displays, a tunnel through a princess castle, and my favorite, the tree and obscures section of a wall that proudly displays animation sequences. There is also a coloring area complete with Disney Movie. Some training is provided by animators. Funny thing about the movie, I didn’t see any DVDs for sale. Just plush toys, more toys, Cars toys, Marvel toys, some collectibles, lots of diaries, and clothes. Or were those journals. There are also suitcases. Hint, hint!
