The Joint ...the chiropractic place

This place is a little mismanaged. I walked in was told to be a 20 minute late only to wait 45 minutes and find out I was fourth in line still. I had high hopes but looks like i’ll may need to find somebody else

Saw the lady Chiropractor here. She is awesome. Small but strong.

Went to this Ocotillo location today instead of my usual Moon Valley location. I had the misfortune to get Dr. Larry. Wow, what an incompetent chiropractor (likely a fraud) I cannot describe how bad he was, I don’t think that he could even adjust the volume on a television. Management needs to FIRE Dr. Larry as soon as humanly possible. What a waste of one of my prepaid visits. Beware of Dr. Larry maybe the office is okay with other doctors but terrible with Dr. Larry… Using doctor very very loosely here.

The Chiropractors at this location are simply amazing. I have been to other joint locations and have not had the same experience. I am extremely pleased with the care I get here and I’m very happy I didn’t give up on «the joint»! I highly recommend this particular office

I really wanted to like this place. It’s much closer than the chiropractor I’ve been using. I liked my chiropractor, but it’s just incredibly hard to get to the office after work fighting traffic on the US 60. The Joint is so much more convenient.
I’ve been in chiropractic care for the better part of 30 years now. I’ve been to numerous practitioners over that time. Some were absolutely dreadful, some were neutral, and one or two were really good. So I gave The Joint a chance, having done four visits before writing this review.
First, the staff is very nice. I don’t doubt for a moment that they actually did care and wanted to alleviate my issues. But they were unable to do so. At most I would get a few hours of relief and then the pain would creep in. My last visit I can’t even say that. I experienced little relief, and then a NEW pain appeared. A very severe pain, far worse than what I had before. I relented and went back to my previous chiropractor, dealing with the traffic and long drive. She said my «L4» was out, adjusted me, and relief began almost immediately. It’s been a full day now, and it’s not perfect, but it’s a lot better. I will need another visit to finish this off, but I think it is an illustration of the difference.
So I cannot recommend The Joint. While they exhibited concern and empathy, they didn’t really exhibit competence at producing positive results. And that ultimately is the whole point of chiropractic care. I can recommend my other chiropractor if you live near her office, or are willing to fight the US 60 to get there.

My back was «killing» me. While I was running errands, I decided to stop in The Joint to see a chiropractor. I used to be a bit skeptical about them, until I met Dr. Emeliah Hanson. OMG! My back feels soooo much better! She was very thorough, explained EVERYTHING and definitely put me at ease. I’ll DEFINITELY be going back!

Dr. Hanson is one of the top chiropractors I have ever been to. She is very compassionate and really spends time working and finding all the things that are wrong. It never fails when my headaches or back aches she diagnoses it without me even saying and pops everything back into place. And she always follows up with some stretching, muscle pressure or massage to set everything.
What I love most is it’s all walk-​in and no insurance. My insurance copay for chiro is $ 35 and the Joint only charges $ 29 per visit or better yet, I buy a group of 10 at once at a discount so it’s even easier to prepay and just stop in anytime.
Great concept, great doctors. I started at the Scottsdale location and hear from friends that the Camelback location is super too. So far ³⁄₃!

I’ve had chiropractic off and on for years but The Joint is a refreshing change from the normal. In my life it’s impossible to keep appointments, and with The Joint I don’t have to make them. Their rates are as low as my Co pays and neither of us has to deal with insurance. I’m always in and out in under 10 minutes. Dr. Hanson is highly skilled and gentle. One of the best I’ve seen and I look forward to my adjustments.

Dr. Emeliah Hanson is incredible! We found her a couple of years ago when my back problems began and I’m soooo thankful that we did! I’m now a regular and would recommend her to absolutely anyone! Caring, considerate, and great at what she does — I just really can’t say enough about Emeliah and what she’s done to help me regain my mobility.

Dr. Emeliah Hanson is one of the best chiropractors I have ever used! she is excellent using low force technique and has helped me dramatically after several injuries. I highly recommend you take the time to go visit «The Joint»!

Emeliah gives this place 5 stars. She’s so sweet, and remembers your name after one visit. She even remembers the previous stories you shared from 3 months ago. She’s very caring and really strong.

I have to take a minute to not only compliment The Joint as a refreshing approach to chiropractic care but to applaud the fine folks working at this location in particular.
If you are unfamiliar with the concept, The Joint is a «club style» setup where you pay a monthly fee ($ 49) and you get a certain number of visits per month (4). You can make additional visits in a month for a small fee and you get discounts for adding family members. No, they don’t take insurance but honestly this is a good thing. Unless you have the platinum insurance plan, you very likely only get four or six or some very small number of covered visits in a year. This takes the hassle of insurance and co-​pays right out of the picture. Plus, you walk in with no appointment and rarely need to wait more than 5 minutes. Super convenient!
Yes, you can get a lot of major pains taken care of in a few visits to most chiropractors but the benefits of going on a regular basis (like weekly) are incredibly positive. That’s what makes this setup very appealing to me.
Specifically at this location, I wanted to applaud Dr. Emeliah. Do not be fooled by her small size — she is incredibly strong and knows exactly how to leverage that strength to make you feel better. The front desk staff are super friendly as well.
