David was wonderful in calming me during the process of the sleep study, using a personal experience with his children to distract me from my anxiety about using the machine. Furthermore, he recommended I try the nose piece to start since I was apprehensive over the use of the full mask. Overall, he was very knowledgeable and very personable. He has changed my life and given me a road to a better future.

So regret ever walking into this building. Was referred by a friend that loved his treatment. Had to do the home sleep study as per insurance requirements. Automatically they decided I needed a CPAP based off this little box that goes on your chest, hose in the nose and oximeter on my finger tip. The whole night I rolled around, and slept like crap. Each time I rolled over I paused breathing to lift myself to roll to the other side. Each time this damn thing shifted and fell off. Needless to say they talked me into a CPAP. First settings practically blew my head off. I called to get the pressure adjusted I was told to, «deal with it» as there is an adjustment period. Like ok… ill give it a few days. I had to take sleeping medication to sleep with this horrendous contraption. So after a week I call back… mind you they never actually answer their phones so you can’t get a hold of anyone. Finally after calling over and over and calling one of their other offices they said, «oh yeah take the card in and we can adjust your prescription»… oh ok. Went in and dropped off the card. They downloaded it. 2 weeks later still have no updated prescription. Called back. No answer. Exhausted as hell from trying to «deal with it» and waking up feeling worse than I ever had I said enough. I took the machine back to Med one(referred equipment supplier). Few weeks after that… I FINALLY get a call to adjust my prescription. A MONTH after I went in. Then I got a BILL for them downloading the information off the card to adjust the prescription. Like really… The insurance can pull the information they need wirelessly but you made me come in and spend $ 200 through insurance to download a file? Will be a cold day in hell before I recommend anyone to your company. FYI… I went to another sleep study place and my results were that I DON’T HAVESLEEPAPNEA. Don’t go here. It’s a money grab and you probably really don’t have sleep apnea.

I’ve had multiple sleep disorders that had been diagnosed in the late 80’s, after spending the night in a sleep, clinic, including sleep apnea. I hate wearing a CPAP, however, knowing it can save my life, I wear it regularly. My machine was way out of date, and after moving to Arizona from California a year ago, I knew I needed to get a new one, and at the very least I needed supplies. I spoke with Robert Manderville at Valley Sleep Center about the routine and how the process worked. He had someone from the billing office contact me for billing preauthorization. Since I have two medical insurance plans, there was some confusion about which insurance needed to be billed, and in what order. I requested help from a supervisor, and received a prompt callback from a supervisor in the billing department, Lucy. Lucy was very pleasant to deal with, and she understood my billing concerns, and contacted Dana, and insurance billing expert. I was extremely impressed with Lucy, Robert and Dana throughout the entire process. Their knowledge was top notch, and they provided excellent customer service. After receiving pre approval, I chose the Chandler sleep clinic location. Since my last sleep study was 25 years ago, I wasn’t looking forward to it, since the previous stay was in a hospital type setting, and was in a small, uninviting room. I was very pleasantly surprised when I was led into a room that looked like it was a beautiful hotel room with a television, and a private bathroom with shower. Of course it’s difficult to sleep with a bunch of leads attached to your body, but, that’s they way they obtain the necessary info. So, the staff was extremely polite and professional. The tech explained the process to me, and advised me after sleeping for a couple hours without a CPAP, they would have me sleep with the CPAP for further testing. He showed me a variety of masks, then showed me the one that is the most popular with clients. I tried that mask since it was so much less invasive than what I currently wore. I loved that mask,(which is considered a nasal mask, but the whole face is open, allowing for the use of glasses. A week later I went for a follow up, and met with Debra. She was wonderful, and felt like someone I was friends with almost. She hooked me up with the mask I liked so much, and then set me up on automatic shipments for my supplies, freeing me up from having t keep track of when to call for them. Not only that, she called me a week later to confirm that I received my extra supplies. I had only received a partial delivery, so Debra followed up with the shipping department to ensure I received the entire delivery. So professional, such great customer care… And extra kudo’s to Robert, Lucy, Dana and Debra.

terrible. terrible. terrible. here’s why. several months ago i went to this location to get set up with a cpap machine for my sleep apnea. i i had been previously diagnosed with sleep apnea twice before, but i needed a new machine. it started off fine. i met with dr. martinez to review my history & explain my situation. she was great. after the appointment, she explained what needed to be done to the 2 receptionists out front. essentially they needed to obtain my 2 prior sleep studies, then submit to insurance for the approval for the machine. i was also in a bit of a rush since i was moving out of state within a month. simple enough, right? i followed up about a week later to get a status update. NOTHINGHADBEENDONE. in fact, apparently no information was in my account regarding the places they needed to get the studies from. i had to explain everything to the person over the phone and provide the contact information again(i provided this during my appointment with dr. martinez also). the lady on the other end of the phone allegedly took the information down. i again followed up, this time a few days later. they still had nothing. so i decided to take matters in my own hands. i called one place that the sleep study was requested from. they had the request and were going fax it the next day. i then called the 2nd place. they did not have the request. so, they emailed me the release of medical info form. i filled it out, faxed it back to them. they emailed me the sleep study right away. i then faxed to valley sleep center. long story short, i did their jobs for them. i wouldn’t recommend this location. the receptionists do not stay on top of things.
