I eat here often. Fantastic grilled chicken salad! Avocado ranch is perfection. Nice atmosphere and free beans are great too

What can I say about this place… It is outstanding. Boiled crawfish is the best in East Texas. Their hamburgers are huge. Really great salads. Don’t forget to get some chicken dip. And their stakes are pretty good too. Always have daily lunch specials. And family owned and operated

Great place to meet up with friends or eat after church. Get there early, they fill up. They turn tables pretty fast though, so don’t be upset if there is a line when you get there. All the employees are very friendly.

Love Wade’s place. It’s our regular Thurs stop. The crawfish tacos are my favorite but you honestly can’t go wrong. Wade and Ann are great and work hard to make this place what it is.

Staff is welcoming and friendly. Catfish was cooked great but the seasoning for me was a bit salty. For me it was nothing special to go out of the way for.

Excellent! Started out with hush puppies , then catfish tacos(me) & shrimp tacos(wife). Both excellent as were the fries. My downfall was the Pumpkin cake for dessert. Total was about $ 28 so not bad at all.

Gotta love good chow like this today. I had shrimp and a gumbo and coconut cake. Is my new favorite place in the area. Service was great. Place was busy but did not take long to get the great chow. Thanks folks. Well done.

Decent food but they obviously didn’t go to much trouble worrying about the ambiance. The entire inside of the place is bare OSB construction panels with a few random pictures and decorations. Wouldn’t recommend taking a date here, as she won’t be impressed. As a first-time customer, I was a little disappointed that there was no person or sign upon entering to explain the process of ordering(counter service, then find a seat). Possibly a minor detail but disorienting. New customers shouldn’t feel uncomfortable and confused as soon as they walk in the door. The fried shrimp dinner was a decent value. My girlfriend enjoyed the fried crawfish(I thought they tasted like dirt, but I don’t like crawfish).

The Étouffée smothered over two pieces of fried catfish and rice on the weekends is where it’s at with this place as for as I’m concerned — can’t get any better — How do you give a place SIXSTARS on Unilocal

If I had to say anything negative about Wades, I would say it is crowded at times but other than that, the food and service is top notch.

A little slow, a little price for the area, not a lot of ambiance, and sometimes crowded. but other than that the food is very good and the homemade tarter was very good. Catfish was very good, and cajun offerings was very good(for the area). overall, a good experience and will likely re-visit when we are back in the area visiting family.

Absolutely awesome! This was our first time there. Can get crowded but they do a great job cleaning and bussing the tables to keep tables cleared for the next party. The food is awesome! We ordered the catfish and shrimp dinner as well as a few pounds of boiled crawfish. Everything came out perfect. The crawfish were tasty and huge. The catfish was fried perfect(instead of over fried like some places). The fried shrimp were huge and the batter was quite tasty. Can’t wait to get back there!

Out in East Texas looking for something good to eat and we stumbled across this place. Had shrimp, catfish, coleslaw and fries. All spot on and really good. I’m happy and full!

On most weekends, you’d presume this place gives away free heroin… people just spill out onto the front porch, waiting to order! They’ve certainly nailed the down-home ambiance… I’ll concede that. I’ve said for years that any restaurant that gets your money first will never have great table service. I’m not happy that I’m right once again. The food is good; I’ve never had a bad meal… that, combined with its location is what keeps this place open. They have big problems with accuracy on their orders… they always have; about half the time our order is wrong. It’s probably the age old issue: people who’re pretty good at running a business, but dont know how to run a kitchen. I’ll be back; good«fish places»(if you dont know how to differentiate these from seafood joints, I can’t help you) are hard to come by. Just dont expect the moon once they’ve gotten your money.

Wow. I will be returning here very soon despite living 45 minutes away. Visited Wades Place today based on a recommendation from a friend. I was not disappointed in anything I tried which included the fried catfish, homemade chips(recommend instead of fries), and crawfish. It was nice to finally eat crawfish that were hot and spicy and cooked right at a restaurant. The fried catfish were better than any in Tyler, with very nice batter and not overly greasy. Service was very fast also. You order at the cashier and our food was out in about 7 minutes. Hot, fresh and delicious. Do not hesitate to go to Chandler and eat here because it’s in a «small-town». You’ll be hard-pressed to find better food anywhere!

This place is off the main drag in Chandler. It’s actually ½ of a feed store, but don’t let that put you off. Wade can throw down some catfish. The breading is fresh, not some frozen and fried crap. The fried shrimp deliver, as well as the free beans. I don’t care for the fries, but you can get chips instead, which are pretty good. They have a daily special at lunch, usually under $ 10 with a drink.

Small towns scare me. But, I am in Chandler often for work, and dozens of people have mentioned how good Wade’s Place is. I’m a gambler, so I decided to check this place out, that is connected to a Feed Store, in the bustling mecca of Chandler, Texas. Upon entering, I immediately pegged this restaurant as a Roadhouse(You know, the movie with the late Patrick Swayze), with Tv’s. It could be a sports bar, but there’s no beer. Boooo! The menu is creative, as I’ve tried the following: Shrimp Po-Boy, Shrimp /Catfish basket, and the Chicken Cordon Blue sandwich. All were very tasty, with generous portions. The prices are kinda’ high, but the quality is good, and the portions are large. The fries suck, but you can substitute these for their homemade chips, which are very, very good! I will return.
