I’ve been a long time Ycs customer, and today was my first time going to this location and it easily just became my favorite. The staff here is super friendly and the place was very clean, will be returning!

Although the food was good, the entire dining experience was rather poor. This being my first time here, I wanted to do the unlimited stir fry so I could try different flavors, but the cashier tried to talk me out of it. Then, she handed me a sign that I had to carry around with me so they wouldn’t accuse me of stealing. The selection of ingredients is very limited, and most were overflowing mixing in with the ingredients around them. The 2 grills they have can only one order at a time, so if it’s busy, you’ll be waiting in the buffet line for awhile. If you order the unlimited, you have to go back up to the register, with your sign, to get another bowl, but have to wait in line for customers coming in and having to pay. I would classify this place as fast food restaurant. The layout of the place feels like a cafeteria. Good food, poor concept.

They have a clean, efficient setup, a selection of decent(flash frozen) meat, and plenty of fresh veggies and sauces. If the meat were fresh or the price a bit lower I’d add the fifth star, but ultimately everything else in your experience comes down to your skills. I get 3 tasty meals out of my visit, and here is my strategy: 1. Get some butcher paper and repeatedly crush down your meat to create a secondary«meat bowl» effect. This allows more meat and less mess. 2. Spices: don’t be shy. 3. Veggies: feel free to have a small pile, and use butcher paper to scrunch it down. 4. Noodles: gotta do the trifecta, but end with a big pile of wheat noodles. They weigh everything down. 5. Sauce: if following these instructions, double the recipe on the board, pour a few scoops on the noodles themselves, and add some hot chili oil for good measure. 6. Cooking: don’t miss the crunchy and sweet things at the end. If you like those things, they are available. 7. Tips: tip the cook. It’s hot back there. 8. Post-Game: You will not finish this. You will have extra sauce on the bottom. Get 2 bowls of brown rice to soak up that delicious sauce and get two to-go cartons worth of awesome leftovers. They will be better the next day after soaking up flavors overnight. 9. Label your cartons. People are crazy. There ya go. Happy eating!

The food is fresh and Cooked right in front of you, I had never been there before, but Wow, what a treat, u choose what ingredients u want in your dish, and u make your own sauce to put on it, from a recipe board on the wall, It is so different, so much better than panda, All I can say is just go there and experience the treat of your life…

I was first introduced to the original YC’s by my boss when our office was on Broadway Rd. Now my wife and I frequent this location being that it is close to home. The staff is always super nice with an inviting attitude. The food is spot on and they provide wax paper to mash down as much food/sauce as you can into your bowl. Tonight was our first time eating there at dinnertime and I definitely recommend it over lunch. For a couple dollars more you get the Alaskan cod option with the other meats, and ice cream(cone or cup, soft-serve vanilla/chocolate). If you are unable to finish your meal, to-go containers are only 50 cents each, quite a deal in my opinion! Definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves large portions of healthy food.

The food is always fresh and every time we’ve gone the same cashier is there and she is super nice! My daughter loves building her own bowl. The iced tea is awesome also! Very clean, fresh, and friendly.

Meh. I am not a fan of making my own sauce. Apparently, I didn’t do it right because it ended up bland. I would like to see more ingredients offered that other places like this have. I didn’t know the rice was at the end of the process so I had noodles. I would have chosen rice, had I known. The guy up front was very friendly and gave me two free eggs. I would have thought to be included. Another $ 1.00 for the yogurt. Again, I might had paid, had I known. Place is clean and comfortable… but at the end of this day, I go out to eat for food and this wasn’t that good. I came back to edit for one more detail… no fortune cookies? Really?

My son and I decided to go here on a whim. At first, I thought it was overpriced, but the food is fresh and i can pick what I want. The meat is frozen so no fear of food poisoning here. My one complaint is that I was unable to try the sauces. I chose the YC sauce. When I was done cooking, I couldn’t believe how much it was. It was like it expanded on the grill. The brown rice was great and loved the won ton chips. We will definitely be coming back here!

My girlfriend suggested YC’s, as she has ate here before. I really like the make your own bowl. Staff was really helpful and explained how it all works, since it was my first time. They had a good selection of sodas & tea, and a ice cream station. Definitely would go again!

I’ve never been to a Mongolian grill before so not sure if this is good or bad for Mongolian but I thought it was amazing. You walk in with a bowl to a buffet type spread. You pick your freeze dried meats, veggies, noodles, rice.(The key is to pack them in the bowl as tight as your can so you get tons. Then you make your own sauce from a combo of sauces. You give it to the cook and they grill it up. RESULTS: Flavor glory!

Its been a while since I’ve had barbecued Mongolians. Staff was very helpful. Food was ok. Like every other mongolian restaurant I’ve been to, regardless of how much sauce you put on the food most of it boils off and imparts very little flavor.

The hosts are very nice, and so is the cook. The experience consists of you filling up a bowl with the ingredients: meats, vegetables, spices, etc. Once you’ve filled the bowl, the cook then prepares your food. I payed for the big bowl($ 11.85) and It came with unlimited drinks, rice, soup, chips, and sauce. This is the place to go if you’re really hungry. However, if you don’t finish your meal and would like to take it home, you have to pay 50 cents for a to-go box– finish all your food and enjoy!:)

So happy there is one of these in Chandler now! I used to frequent the Indian Bend/101 location when I lived in Fountain Hills but since moving to Chandler, that’s a bit of a drive for me… not that it’s worth it because it totally is! This location is set up a little bit different and I kind of like how the chips/rice/soup is separate from the cooking station… and I like how the drink station has it’s own designated counter. It helps free up a lot of the traffic around the cooking area. The one thing I don’t like is the cooking area seems to be very close to where people have to wait for their food to be cooked, which becomes very crowded and holds up the line. Also, when the chefs pour on water, the steam can engolf the people waiting for their food. Also, when the chef goes to clean the cook top, sometimes the dirty water splashes and hits people or gets mixed in with the cilantro and peanuts that’s off to the side. I wish this was designed a little better because people literally trip over you, which can be annoying. When I visited there were tons of fresh veggies and meats available and the place was very clean. Usually the sauce area tends to get really dirty but this one was relatively clean. They have all the standard veggies… to name a few: carrots, cabbage, spinach, celery, bean spouts, kale, green onions, tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and baby corn. It’s nice being able to create your own stir fry and choose how much of what you want goes in it. It’s definitely a healthier alternative to burgers and fries… and much tastier if you ask me!

My kids love this place and so I get«invited» to go to lunch with them when they are a bit empty pocketed– gotta love high schoolers! This is not the only reason I find myself frequenting this location. Among some of the many reasons I like YC’s Mongolian Grill include the plethora of choices you have to make your meal completely unique each and every time you visit. As they say–«How to Mongo» is completely up to you! Feeling beefy– go with the beef which I dare say are fairly good cuts of meat. You might try the chicken offered in both dark and white. Whether your hankering be meaty or not, there is something for everyone… noodle, rice, fish etc. as well as a selection of more than 20 veggies! A bit of a control freak– then this is the place for you. Fill your bowl up to your desired taste– did I say fill your bowl up? Let me emphasis — FILLYOURBOWLUP! One of my favorite things about the mongo line is seeing how high one can stuff a bowl. Regulars know that the food«shrinks to fit» once cooked and the goal is, of course, to get as much into the bowl as possible. YC’s could make this a contest or Ripleys could add a category as I believe there is a seasoned skill to getting this just right to maximize the final outcome. Once your bowl can take no more, head to the sauces section and choose from the many pre made sauce menus or be a daredevil and create your own. I typically go with the Chef’s Favorite which is a pleasing mixture of soy, teriyaki, sweet and sour and a splash of garlic and ginger. Once through the line«wok» it on over to the guys that cook it all up on the hot grill using only water and the sauces that you added to your bowl. Can you smell this tasty goodness yet? Found that your eyes were bigger than your stomach– no worries, for .50 cents you can grab a to go box and enjoy your feast from home. There are several bowl prices to pick from including and starting with $ 10.85 for a small and goes up from there to large and unlimited… I believe the to go box is a no go when dining with the unlimited option, for obvious reasons. If you still have room you might grab a non-fat frozen yogurt for $ 1.00 as your heading out the door. This location has always been well maintained, clean and the employees are always pleasant. All in all– a fun, filling and delish experience!

A clean, efficiently run Mongolian Grill? The standard assortment of meats, veggies, and noodles, with fresh and plentiful selections. A massive selection of sauces, including recommended mixes to get typical flavors? Good to decent pricing(appreciate that it comes with a beverage, but I can see how that might rub others the wrong way). All in all a very enjoyable experience, I’ll absolutely be back!

Location: it is located in the same plaza as the movie theater with plenty of parking. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of tables. General area is relatively clean. The only draw back is the place is bit stuffy due to poor ventilation. Even though it is cold in the outside, I started sweating 15 minutes sitting in the inside. Service: all staffs are super friendly. They even came around cleaning up the table for us shortly after we were done. Cashier seems new and unorganized. At times, I saw people standing for 2 minutes and she was no where to be found. When she saw someone standing there, she ran to the cashier and started apologizing. Some training is definitely needed. Cooks work quickly and efficiency. Another staff came up and help us making the sauce. It was absolutely delicious. Food: for approx $ 13 + tax, you will get a large bowl to stack up the food for as high as you could, a small soup/rice and a large soda. If you know you cannot finish your meal, pay 50 cents for a To-Go-Box for the leftover. I love their food, but the soup was a bit tasteless. Rating: I enjoy their food and will come back here again. Hopefully they will fix the ventilation system.

We decided to stop by here for dinner as I’m a fan of this kind of food & being able to control what you put together is nice. This place seemed clean & the food line was somewhat maintained. The meat & veggies were full, but some of the sauces didn’t have any anything in the containers. Also, I found it was really odd that someone had accidentally put the sesame oil bottle in one of the sauces & the person who worked there pulled the bottle out and left both the sauce in the container and left the bottle with the sauce all over the bottle. I’m not sure why they both weren’t removed. As for the food itself, it wasn’t bad. The price of the meal includes one bowl in line, unlimited soup & rice, a drink, & ice-cream. I only tried the chicken wonton soup which wasn’t bad … Nothing special & it was cold as it was just sitting there. The bowl was good but considering that I didn’t get much of the other things, it seemed pretty high in price. Also, I think it doesn’t make much sense to charge extra for a to-go box. I’ve paid for my meal, why not give me a box since I only went through the line once? Overall, not a bad experience, just not anything that would compel me to return any time soon.

Since this is my son’s favorite restaurant, I find myself here a lot. Lots of meats and veggies to choose from. I also like that they have bowls to mix up your tasty sauce for your creation.
