Days Inn

I thought this place was ok!!! Nothing great, but if you’re looking for somewhere cheap and right off I-​10W like we were, this could be the place for you. Our king room was only $ 57 for the night, including tax. The room was clean, tho it did have a bit of a moth ball smell (not bad, and I didn’t even notice it after a few minutes) with some crazy paint, as mentioned in the other review. But I thought it was fun, and different, and applaud them for not being like every other place. :p The countertop in the bathroom area was granite-​style, and was a lot nicer than the Formica you usually see in these places and the shower had actual 12×12 tiles instead of the cheap plastic shower kit. Also the shower curtain looked brand new, so either they’ve done better with housekeeping, or the other reviewer just got a crummy room. :(

The first room the desk clerk showed us reeked of moth balls (naphthalene). The second room was sweltering. Even after two hours the room has not cooled down with the A/​C on full. The shower curtain was covered with mildew, yuck. The paint job is seriously tacky (blue sky with white clouds ceiling and fluorescent green and yellow walls). This inn is trying to be something it’s not. I want my money back.
