I was excited when this place opened for it seemed it had quality Indian snacks that were reasonably price. Although the prices are reasonable the food is awful. I ordered the Mumbai Vada Pav, which consisted of a potato dumpling thrown into a hamburger bun. Let me begin, the dumpling had been sitting outside in a tray under a heat lamp so it was not fresh. The bun had some red chutney spread on one site and they gave a small cup of sweet chutney with it. After one bit of the sandwich I threw it out. The«vada» had no taste with its filling hardly warm. The bread is a hamburger roll and is nothing compared to what you would normally expect. I don’t think this place will survive for more than a year. Note to the owner… if you want to attract customers you need to make sure the food is fresh. Don’t take shortcuts and keeps stuff sitting around underneath a heat lamp and serve it to people. I definitely won’t be coming here again!

Absolutely loved the food and the service. I am going to be a regular here! Reminded me of the tasty food that I used to eat back in Mumbai! Thank you !

So far so good. This place isn’t for lunch or dinner but great for snacks as they serve lots of them.

There was 15 mins wait time even after ordering over the phone 20 mins prior reaching the joint. Vadapav was tasteless! Small portions and the wait time does not add up. Not worth the the time and money! The manager was very defensive while answering questions. Good concept but poor management.

First of all, food is fresh and very authentic. I had egg masala burger and I loved it. Pani puri is just like desi style. I would recommend this for Indian street food lovers.

I ordered a vada pav that had garlic and butter. It was excellently spiced per my request for medium spicy. It was a little oily but I still managed to wolf it down it was so delicious! I also had a new item. It was a sandwich with Indian spiced sauce, peanuts, onions and pomegranate seeds. It was very unique and flavorful. The service was excellent. The young woman who took my order was over the top helpful and super friendly. The food came out in under 5 minutes. I’d say that Chatkazz has fixed their prep time. The value was really good too. It wasn’t a ton of food but it was exactly what I needed. It was overall a very satisfying experience. I’ll be back with friends!

Today we went to this place. We ordered vada pav, dabeli, Chinese burger and samosa chaat. We waited almost 45 mins for take out order and below is the review for all individual items. I would not recommend this restaurants and will never go back. Vada pav: they said it is Mumbai style vada pav but nothing looks and tastes like Mumbai style. It is sooooo dry and tasteless. Dabeli: worst dabeli I ever had in my life. Again same as vada pav. Tasteless and dry. Samosa chaat: I would say it tests like having mango pickles. Chinese burger: it tastes good and worth money to spend.

Vadapav tastes good only when eaten hot. Service is slow & the owner showed attitude while answering questions.

Its are Quick snacks as they say. Pizza is horrible and i felt Domino is cheaper and better in taste. choley and naan is below average. Vada pav is good. Price and portion of dish does not go well. I don’t think i will visit this place again.

Not value for money. Seems like the chef doesnt enjoy cooking. Only vada pao was value for money but taste was just too bland for vada pao. Pizza was just not upto the mark. Dominos does a much better job on pizza at the same price — portion wise n taste wise. My last option to go to when I plan for eating out.

Very good food, we had tandoori pizza and vada pav. Their food has been closest to Indian food by far. So if you miss Indian fast food, this will be the right place for you. The manager was very hospitable as well.

While I have eaten better vada pavs, the ones served by Chatkazz was nothing less. The samosa chat and pav bhaji are other items which I found much better than what we get in NOVA area.

Quick snack. Kids liked Indian style egg masala burger, veggie burger, chole naan, limbu timu. Kids don’t like onions and tomatoes, they replaced it with chaat masala(kids love chaat masala). Snow cone(Indian ice gola) was awesome. Kids were wondering why non of wall papers have Indian model in it? Not sure if this was supposed to be marketed towards non-Indian crowd. Anyway food was good and kids want to come again.

I loved the bhaji pav and pulao. Jungly sandwich also tastes good. Two suggestions: 1. Please try to make everything in less oil. 2. Quantity is less compared to the price, especially for pulao, chhole and grilled sandwiches.(If you compare with subway, chipotle or which wich they serve good quantity in $ 6 – 7)

The store looks fancy but food is quite okay if you like frozen food. I ordered Naan Cholley, the check peas I counted was 23 pieces. Too much masala in the Cholley. The fries was good, my son enjoyed it they could have increased the quantity of the fries. The naan«pita bread» you can definitely buy from next door lotte plaza –pre made. Suggestion: guys give little more food, don’t be so cheap. Don’t use those pre-canned Cholley, try to cook them. I will give another chance to this place, if I see any improvement then will recommend friends.

A much needed taste of aamchi Mumbai fast food in Northern Virginia. Great food at very reasonable prices… a must for anyone who loves food and prefers a quick bite as opposed to a 3 course meal. just brilliant! A big shout out to host and owner Chirayu Shah. he was very welcoming and warm. offered a complimentary dish to taste as well. Will definitely be coming back. again and again!

Finally, an Indian restaurant that doesn’t look like EVERYOTHER one in the area. Very fresh and modern décor and bright colors. Very classy looking decorations, but very obviously Indian. I ordered the Spicy Chinese Burger and a Butter Masala Vada Pav. They made everything fresh so it took a small while to get my order. In terms of taste, it left a little more to be desired. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it wasn’t something I’d fawn over. The Vada Pav sandwich thing was something of a «if it ain’t broke don’t fix it» type of deal. I felt the bun was unnecessary and it didn’t add anything in terms of taste. Definitely will have to try something different to see if my opinion changes.

I was curious when I found out that Chatkazz was Indian Fast food but I didn’t set my expectations high and I guessed about right. Good Indian food takes time and doesn’t come cheap with quality spices and ingredients. I tried to stay positive though going in. The décor seemed a bit odd. You have blonde Caucasian photo stock images with photoshopped food in their hands all over… Ok? Next I noticed just one table of four people at what should have been a lunch rush in a busy shopping complex. My co-worker and I decided to try two entrée’s each and split everything. We placed our order noticing there was just one lone chef over a tiny stove cooking. 40 minutes later we had our food… this is suppose to be fast food mind you. The portions were tiny on little styrofoam dishes but the prices were cheap so I didn’t expect much. The egg curry dish was tasty enough but everything else was forgettable and tasted like it came straight out of microwave Indian dinner from the Lotte next door. If you are looking for fast Indian food this isn’t the place. If you are looking for tasty Indian food hit up the Lotte next door in the food court. Otherwise you get what you pay for here which isn’t a lot. I’ll be taking my business next door.

My coworker and boss decided to try Chatkazz on a Friday, we were three of six people total who came in and out around 2:30pm. We ordered the spicy manchurian and butter masala vada pav combo which came with a small soda, butter masala vada pav combo which came two to an order and a small soda, an indo-mexican pizza, the spinach corn pizza, and two of the teas which turned out to be mint and not a big hit. Grand total was around $ 26 and service was fair– it’s an order at the counter, pick up when your number is called system. We requested the butter pav’s to be little butter and spicy… holy moly were they spicy! Even the other ladies thought so and they know their spice. I have to say, I really only like the pav and the green mint sauce that came with it, the pizza was like Subway quality’s and the manchurian made me feel awful for a few hours after. We have decided we will come back but we will try the other more traditional dishes… in a couple months time that is.
