D New Look Salon

I wanted to get a groupon deal and the lady told me i did not need to and she would give me a better discount. But she completely ruined my hair and charged me double of what groupon had. Did not give me the color I asked for. Caramel highlights have turned to be red and they are not even either. Went in after two days asking her to fix it and she couldnt fix it and wasn’t sorry either,
Please do not ever go there

Decent reviews so tired the place through Groupon. Perhaps it was just an off day. I think I could have received better service and hairstyle at a place like great clips. When I walked in the place was empty. The lady working asked me my name and didn’t introduce herself (later she did) she didn’t all me much about what I wanted. While she was applying highlights a lady came in from the back and stayed brushing her wet hair and taking and laughing in another language. When I was put under the dryer I wasn’t asked if I wanted a magazine, water, nothing and the dryer was so hard and with such forceful air I had to get out grin under it as it was uncomfortable especially in the too warm store (thermostat says 79). Foils got really hot. She didn’t notice as she’d gone into the back. You look at a tv from the dryers but it is just movie
bag the hair wash was definitely not the one you normally look forward to. In the end the highlights and cut wet fine and the young lady cutting my hair was sweet. Still trying to find a good hair salon in the area…

There seems to be mixed reviews for this salon. I don’t know who my stylist was but I was not impressed with my outcome. She was loud (annoying voice), rude. No professionalism whatsoever.

I asked for edgy and got 1990’s mom hair. I did not feel heard during the consultation. I even showed pictures. The stylist just seemed so stubborn. In the end, my color looks like it came from a box, and the cut is the worst I’ve ever had. Based on the reviews, it seems like there are some stylist who do good work. I just had bad luck. The salon was also uncomfortable and a little seedy inside. Sorry, I wanted to like this place.

I saw this salon on Groupon, and then checked out their website. Saw that they had a 1^st time customer special — so I gave them a call, I left a message because they were closed and they called me back 1^st thing the next day. They were able to get me an appointment for just a few hours later, same day! I got highlights and a cut. The salon was clean and comfortable. My stylist Nule, was very nice, quick and she did a great job. My hair feels and looks great and I really love it! Thanks again to Nule!

Saw a online coupon for this place, so I called them first to see if they had any appts available. The receptionist got me in that same day and they had in-​store specials running that’s better than the online coupon deals. I was estactic! It was quiet when I went in Monday afternoon, not that many people. Dao Ly was the person assisting me. She is a breath of freah air, very down to earth and friendly. I brought in a picture of the look I wanted, cut and color. She did an amazing job getting me that exact look. Im sooooooo happy, definitely will be going there again!

I purchased a groupon for a cut, highlight, and style. I was SO nervous b/​c my hair is naturally brown but I love being blonde. I always get highlights and lowlights and spend a fortune on them. I wanted to find someone closer to home. Dao Le, (the owner) let me know not to be nervous and she was right! I did have to pay $ 20 extra for the lowlights, but it was well worth it and I totally get why she would charge extra due to the extra color and work. The results were AMAZING! Best color job I have gotten in years and possibly ever… no joke! I plan to go back to her and become a customer. She is very skilled and it felt great to walk out and love my hair. I also told her to just trim the ends. It’s so annoying when I have told stylists this in the past and they take off two inches. She did exactly what I wanted and just trimmed a little. Highly recommended!

Better than expected service and outcome.

The Best Permanent Brows Ever!!!
I went to Le for an eyebrow retouch from a botched job I got overseas. As always Lee was super patient. She added few extra strokes in between my brows so that my brows would be a little bit closer and to make the hair strokes blend in with my natural brows.
Lee suggested hair strokes with a slight curve, over sharp straight hairs strokes for the most natural look for my brow shape. I agreed with her recommendation and she went to work (after numbing me of course). Lee was able to perfectly blend the hair strokes that she created with my own brows for the most natural and beautiful look. I was absolutely pleased with what she had done. My brows looked sooooo amazing.
To date, I have referred my mother (who had hardly any brows), my sister (who had very uneven brows) and opted for eyeliner, and a friend (who had very thin brows and lips) and they have all been pleased with Lee’s work and professionalism.
If you want your brows, eyeliner, lips to look stunning, Lee is the one. All things are possible with Lee I will only go to her for my brows.

The salon is not fancy and it’s not in the central location but I would rate Dao excellent in highlighting and color skills. She also does good hair cut and the lady who works with Dao seemed to be quite skilled as she did an awesome hair cut for someone when I was in the salon. I wish it was close to my home so I can make it my regular salon but if you live in the area and is looking for quality color and hair color I would definitely recommend this place…

My wife has been going to Dao for years and has never had anything but the highest regard for the services provided. As a man, I know not what goes on in the average neighborhood hair salon, I only know that the fact that my spouse wouldn’t dare go elsewhere should tell you something. My daughter also goes there exclusively so this establishment bridges the generation gap quite nicely as well.

Not worth the price. Not worth the groupon. I went in for a color and the stylist Dao insisted that I have partial highlights. Which I thought was was really rude. I told her I wanted reddish ones and that I have long layered hair. When it was all done. I had skunk hair. The highlights were yellow on black hair and the layers were choppy and uneven. I paid $ 100 for this service. I went to this salon because it was across the street from me whereas my regular hairdresser who charges the same amount was in herndon. Never going back to this hair salon. I’d rather sit in traffic and go back to my regular hair stylist. If I wanted skunk hair, I could screw up my hair by myself and I still wouldn’t have gotten skunk hair.
