Very slow service. Went here at 7 pm on a Thursday night. There were no other patients here that night, just my daughter who I was bringing in for a high fever. Turned out she had strep. The registration attendant took what seemed an extremely long time to register my daughter(almost 20 minutes) and then we were taken back for her temp/Bp check. The MA never introduced herself(poor bedside manner) but rushed in to do a throat culture. Another long wait for the doctor to come in… at this point it is almost 7:45 and we are still the only people other than employees there. The doc finally came in and said that my daughter had a positive strep swab. I asked if I should get checked too since I wad exposed and her totally unprofessional reply was«we close in a few minutes so I refuse to see you». Welcome to the world of Obama care folks. That doctor should have her license taken away. I’d only go back to this place if I had no other choice.

The wait is long(even when there are 2 or less people in the waiting room), but the service is friendly and efficient. They are a Godsend when our pediatrician can’t squeeze us in.

This was the first hospital east of the ranch that I found to be open. As the sign in the waiting room promised, people were seen in the order they signed in(the stated exception being priority triage, etc). My timing was impeccable since I came in 10 minutes before clinic hours ended, but I was told that the hours indicated what time they stopped accepting walk-ins and whatever queue remained would be treated before closure. The receptionist assured me that a wheelchair would be brought out to me when they were ready to see me, and encouraged me to stay seated once she realized why I was there. My insurance was accepted, and I had the leisurely option of browsing the mags lying about, but instead attempted to hydrate and nap in the awkwardly padded wooden chairs. The receptionist and the radiology tech, Daniel(poor guy’s a Skins fan), were much friendlier than the doctor I saw. In fact, across both brief visits I had from him, the doc never introduced himself. I didn’t know his name until he handed me the Percocet prescription. Perhaps I should have asked if they could call the scrip in to the CVS pharmacy next door, but I felt bad as the last patient imposing upon them. I was the second to last in, but my x-ray ran me later than the followup who signed in after me. The tech and a few of my fellow patients were pretty appalled that I had driven myself there… I’d call myself resilient if I didn’t know that I hadn’t wanted to deal with ambo expenses. Follow-up nurse call was nice to check prescription conflicts. Even over the phone her bedside manner was better. Update: Three and a half stars. Still don’t call in prescriptions, but follow-up calls are appreciated, and both equipment and bedside manners are improving. Asked for a return call on July 19th that was returned August 2nd.
