When I worked nearby I would periodically go here for lunch. Why? They actually sell tabouleh here. Everything else is sub par. The tabouleh varied from OK to good(I like mine with more lemon and their recipe seemed to vary). It was always overpriced(I really should just get my grandmother’s recipe), but it was the fact it was offered at all that won my business. Would I ever go out of my way to get food here? No way.

I agree this restaurant couldn’t ever earn more than 3 stars. I actually quite enjoy the chicken gyro but the service is slow and terrible, and the interior is depressing. It is also expensive, which is strange since it was dirt cheap when they opened but perhaps they overcompensated. The owners/operators seem inconvenienced by you being there. Just get used to the fact they will take their time sloppily preparing your meal while talking to each other, watching TV, and disappearing in the back for long pauses. The good news is you can entertain yourself people-watching and by marveling over the stale and disgusting-looking appetizers and side items on display. Think you’ll call to avoid the wait? Nice try, they’re one step ahead, they just won’t answer the phone! On the rare occasion they do, they won’t start preparing your order until you show up anyway. I’ve gone here more than I want to admit, but only for lacking a better Lebanese restaurant nearby.

I really wish I would have read these reviews before venturing to this place… The environment wasn’t very warm and welcoming like other Lebanese restaurants I have been to and the displays were lackluster and looked kind of gross to be honest… but still I decided to give it a try. I got the Chicken Shwarma Sandiwch to go… the service was quick and cordial. When I got back to the office to indulge in my pita, I was very disappointed. The portion was small and there was maybe two slices of onion on the whole sandwich. The chicken was below average, but the tahini sauce did a good job saving the chicken— however, there was not much of that either. I probably won’t go back there… so good luck.

After reading the reviews I went to this place with low expectations. Not the most inviting atmosphere but it was clean and they had a decent crowd for lunch. I had one of their pita sandwiches which was okay. There hummas was tasty but did not give a lot of pita bread to go with it.

I had high hopes for this place, as I love PITAS :) … but… I should have read the Unilocal reviews before going. When I ordered, the guy behind the counter barely looked at me and continued talking on his cell phone and gave me a hand motion like as if to say«Go ahead and order something, I will ring you up, but I am not going to stop talking on the phone». It was all very rude and«soup nazi-ish» I agree with the reviewer below who says they felt like they were in Beruit Circa 1985 — that pretty much describes the atmopshere of this joint. Food was bland — even the hummus had no taste. It was not good at all and a complete waste of money. One word describes this place«Foul».

a real bummer– the menu had all my favorite stuff on it, and there’s no other lebanese place nearby. was really excited to place my first order. turrned out to be a big letdown. my lamb was dry, portions were small, hummus wasn’t memorable. one good thing was that they have pickled turnips, which I haven’t found at many other places.

Ugh! i tried to find a review for this place on my iphone BEFORE eating here and i couldn’t … my roommate and i ate here for dinner last night and i was very disappointed. the place was almost empty except for a guy smoking a hookah alone. i began to feel weary. i ordered the chicken kebab with rice and the salad(the«platter» they call it). And at $ 10 for this small plate i felt it was overpriced(my snapple was $ 4) and heres why — the rice had absolutely NO flavor, there were no spices readily available on the table nor did my rice come with any. the tzatizki sauce was too runny and also in a side compartment on the plastic dish(you know, the ones where there is room for 2 sides and room for an entrée). the salad was bland. the chicken, however, was moist and had a little bit of flavor, which is why this review is not 1 star.(it is one star now, but read on…) OH and the pita bread. you are better off going to wegmans to find a better, fluffier bread. i think they bought a costco sized pita bread bag and just sliced it into fourths. it was awful. and how could i end a review without reviewing the man behind the counter? well, to put it simply, he sucked. he was on the phone with someone the entire time he took my order and my roommates order. he never even acknowledge that we were standing there until i just made my order and hoped that he was punching it into the computer/register. you know what? after i just typed that, and reading through it again, im going to give it one star. the customer service was terrible, the food had no flavor and the inside was dark(most of the lights werent on). i will not be back… dear moby dick, please buy out pitalicious and open a restaurant to show them how to make good food and have good customer service.

3 stars is the most this place should ever deserve and it’s quite unfortunate because I actually enjoyed my meal. This is about as much I can say in the form of a compliment to this place though. Like most people drawn to this place, I too was starving and going on 6 hours since my previous meal(breakfast) and I happened to be in this forgotten void of Chantilly when I discovered this fairly new strip mall that comprised of this place, a Quizno’s and some generic Hunan Chinese joint. Being in an adventurous mood, I decided to try Pitalicious. First thing I notice is cheap furniture and out-of-the-box Mediterranean décor throughout the restaurant accented with 2 large plasma TVs running Arab satellite programming; they get a point for trying to be authentic at least. I was a very suspicious of the quality of their food given the fact that there was no one else in the place besides me and my equally hungry friend. We ended up ordering some appetizers including dolma’s(rice & meat wrapped in grape leaves), hummus & chicken shawarma wrap for the entrée. Here is where I deduct 2 points, the service and attitude of the one guy working the register was about as pleasing as getting a paper cut with a manila envelope. This guy was rude, unenthusiastic and just plain depressing to be around. One more thing, if you are reading my review, I have one suggestion for you: How about investing in some heat lamps to keep your appetizers constantly warm and fresh, instead of throwing them in the $ 40 Wal*Mart microwave to reheat them in front of your customers? Just a suggestion. I will admit though, sadly and unexpectedly, I did enjoy the chicken shawarma wraps as did my friend and the dolma’s were not half bad, even though they were just nuked right in front of me. This place might prosper IF all of the following happened: 1) They had half-way decent customer service. 2) Spiced up the atmosphere so I don’t actually feel like I’m in Beirut, circa 1983. 3) They airlifted the restaurant to a more visible location. 1 star for trying + 2 stars for good shawarma wraps, not an ounce of compliment more!

Reading the other review makes me want to see if this place has gotten bad. When I had worked in the area when this place first opened, I loved it. I have been out to it periodically but not in maybe 3 months. For the price it is pretty good and satisfying. There is a Halal deli about 3 miles up the road that has great gyros.

I was desperately searching for some falafel for lunch, and the only option I saw was Pitalicious. After eating here, I’m still looking for a place to get falafel. Not impressed at all. The menu looked good, and it seemed like a decent lebanese place, with excellent prices. Unfortunately their appearance is deceiving. Food quality is very poor. Pita bread is just standard out of the bag variety, which I was disappointed by. Lentil soup was disgusting. Looked more like leftover crap in a pan that had water added to it. No flavor, no consistency. Even canned soup is better! Hummus was so disgustingly thick and oily, I couldn’t even finish it. All I tasted was tahini and oil. In fact, had I not know what it was, I would guess that it was really some kind of tahini dipping sauce. Finally, the falafel that lured me in was disappointing as well. Basically just tasted like a hard, deep fried nugget. Hardly any substance to it, and just tasted… fried, like the scraps they surely have at Long John Silvers after a day of frying mystery foods. I feel gross after having eaten here and my insides are now making noises like an old wooden ship. My stomach probably has no clue how to go about digesting the mess I just threw into it and I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if my digestive system decides to mutiny after the little science project I just assigned it. There’s a small chance that I may return at some point to try their«specialty», the marinated chicken, but I won’t be holding my breath.
