My Condo/Townhouse in Centreville, VA switched over to Sequoia Management Company a few years ago. Today, I got a collection notice in the mail saying that I hadn’t paid my Association fees in six months, was getting hit with six months of late fees($ 35/month), and was getting slapped with an additional $ 95 of fees from a collection agency. We had previously had Sequoia charge our credit card every month automatically, so we wouldn’t have this problem. We haven’t changed any details on our credit card, it doesn’t expire for two more years, and have not had any change in contact information. We have not received a single letter, e-mail, or telephone call from Sequoia Management Company before they sent us over to the collection agency and probably ruined our good credit. I found this review on Google while looking for the Sequoia Management Company e-mail address(since they only let you send e-mail to your individual manager through their website). I hope other homeowner associations find these twelve 1-star reviews and take their business elsewhere.

I 100% agree with the previous comment. It is one thing to keep a neighborhood looking nice. I will be the first to promote keeping yards pristine and tacky junk out of front yards but theses people are unbelievable. What is with the crazy photos. So, they can apparently«see» a 2 foot recycling bin that is stored behind a 4 foot wall so easily that they have to walk behind my porch to take a picture. Or should I complain about the bags they took a picture of on my porch clearly labeled Red Cross Donation they they claimed were recycling stored now on my front porch … 2nd warning. Yup those two things are totally related. Yet somehow they«overlooked» the two dead trees for 4 years I complained about or the constant foot traffic between my house that lead to my car being broken into. What does Sequoia do? Build really expensive stairs of course to help those lil burglars out. OH and blow hundreds or thousands of dollars on a new over the top landscaping plan that was way over budget. Now do you know why they need to collect fines? Hummm…
