The Pediatric Group PC

All of the doctors are fair, though they don’t often listen to what the parent is telling regarding symptoms or can seem dismissive at times. The clinic is managed so poorly. Every appointment we have been to we’ve waited a minimum of 20 minutes past our appointment time, each time. I was charged for a missed appointment after the staff called me to cancel due to scheduling conflict. We missed an appointment recently due to the entire family being ill with pneumonia and they sent me a nice letter stating they would charge me $ 50 for missed appointment. That is fine. It was my fault for not cancelling the appointment and I expected that letter would be coming. What I don’t agree with is that the letter went on to say that due to the fact that we have missed TWO appointments, the next missed appointment would mean they would be refusing further care. I assume this to mean they are counting the first missed appointment, which the clinic itself cancelled and then sent my bill to collections over (without ever billing me in the first place).
Long story short. I’m looking for a different provider that accepts TRICARE. At this rate, I am better off just trekking to the nearest Military Treatment Facility.

I have had nothing but great experiences up until recently. I called today to schedule an appointment for my 15 month old, who has had a fever of 101 for two days now and they made the appointment. Because I had a balance they called me back to cancel the appointment and they were extremely rude about having $ 387 balance. So I call the insurance company and they mentioned that they submitted the balance under the wrong ID number as if that was my fault as every time I go to the pediatric group Chantilly — they always photo copy my ID card. So a mistake on their part ended up with them canceling the appointment for my sick son. Needless to say, I am switching practices as I type this message. How is it my fault that the claims were submitted under the wrong ID NUMBER!

Let me state first and foremost — the folks there are nice but my experience has been less than satisfactory.
I went there to take my son for a physical for elementary school signup. Nurse/​Doctor gave him standard checkup, and gave back form with height/​weight and surprisingly a vision test. The doctor didn’t tell me anything of use so it was a quick one.
After a month, i get back a bill with info on going to their online bill pay through patient portal
. What a f$#king shitty site. I’m giving them 1 star because the site’s so god aweful. I’m required to add a connection to «the pediatric group pc» through a search by zip code or provider. Normally a zip code search is sufficient but it provides search results for MD, Washington and other parts of Virginia before even providing anything close to fairfax. The worse part is i can’t even find «The Pediatrics Group» to add as a connection.
I’ll pay the bill and never deal with this group again. If they ever improve their patient portal, let me know and we’ll think about going back. In the meanwhile, there are tons of other, much better, easier to deal with pediatric groups around fairfax va.

Wish there were more stars, 5 does not do them justice. We switched to them after reading multiple reviews and speaking with many, many parents. So this is how it’s supposed to be. Two words, child friendly. Caring friendly staff, love the Doctors and nurses. Hardly any wait with or without appointment. They go out of their way to accommodate my sick child. Even on weekends the nurse returns our calls quickly. They answer my numerous questions very patiently. On Halloween the entire staff dressed as Toy Story Characters. They don’t complain if my son watches videos on his tablet or on my cell phone. They understand how restless a two year old can be and they are very sympathetic to our needs. Went to the 7:30 walk on clinic this morning and we were in and out in 15 minutes. Our medication is always waiting at the pharmacy of our choice. I finally found a practice we trust for our son. Highly recommend them and I am an anxious overprotective mother. No higher praise.

I’ve been taking my son here for over 2 years and so far so good. He’s been seen by every doctor but I must say Dr. Wise is my favorite. She really took the time to examine my son no matter how much of a fuss he made. She apologized saying she’s sorry she is taking so long but wants to make sure she doesn’t misdiagnose him. My son can be out of hand sometimes and she was so patient! I haven’t seen her after her maternity leave, I hope she is still there.
Very busy practice but wait time is not too long which is always helpful. Overall no complaints and happy.

I love this practice! The doctors and nurses are great. They truly care about the kids and parents. They are accomadating with appointments. Dr. Fugate is my favorite. The last shot my two year had had was the flu shot and the nurse gave her a squeaky toy which helped her get over being her upset due to the shot. Little things matter when it comes to our babies. I have been coming to the practice since my baby was a few days old. I totally recommend them. Very clean and big office.
