Flavor choices are better than Sweet Frog, but the staff there aren’t always friendly.

Convenient. G and I were grabbing a bite to eat at Moe’s nearby and decided to try Zinga out for dessert. Employees are friendly and helpful. They have a cool deal on Tuesdays where you buy a froyo and get 1 Free. Sweet! They have a nice selection of flavors and toppings. The toppings didn’t look as fresh as I would have liked. I wouldn’t say this is the best froyo out there and that you should drive from afar to check it out. However, the froyo is still quite tasty and hit the spot. If you live in the area, it’s worth visiting. The prices here are reasonable. I appreciate that all their machines were working. Plenty of seating is available. This is the closest froyo shop to our home and so we will definitely be back.

I’ve been to Zinga! several times now, & I gotta say, this is a mediocre froyo shop. The selection is painfully generic and limited in comparison to Sweet Frog. The toppings look EXTREMELY unappetizing in their containers. In fact, if you poke around the brownie bits or mochi, you can tell that they’ve gone stale by how hard they are. I also don’t appreciate that when they’re advertising a deal on their Facebook page, you’d have to mention it in person in order for the discount to apply. The guy at the register was really going to charge me $ 20 for 3 cups, when the 4th of July deal was $ 4/cup. In addition, the place reeked the last times I came in… it was an extremely unpleasant. Unfortunately, I’ll have to travel a little further for quality froyo, because that was my last trip to Zinga!

This place was great. Big variety of toppings from the standard fruit and chocolate chips to the not so typical rock candy and Nutella. Yogurt Flavors were standard. I had the watermelon. It was tart and tasty. They also have the option for you to try samples of everything and the little cups are on the side. Some yogurt shops make you special request them. I also liked that they had dividers so your yogurts didn’t have to mix. Great experience overall and I’d go back !

They have tart yogurt, sweet yogurt, custard, and gelato! I was a little skeptical of how long the strawberries had been out, but the place seemed very clean. I like that they have muffins available as a base in addition to waffle bowls, and that they have honey and agave. They also have a rewards program.

The BEST frozen yogurt around! Sweet Frog has its charm(the cute stuffed frogs!), but Zinga’s yogurt tastes better. More natural, with no funky aftertaste that I sometimes get with Sweet Frog. I go here as often as I can, even when it’s snowing outside!

I really love the many toppings you can put on your yogurt! Delicious! And the staff is very friendly, too. Definitely coming back.

I’m not happy, and my son is very upset! The place says it opens at noon and it is 12:15pm no one is here! Don’t put a sign out saying u open at noon and then don’t open! This hasn’t been my 1st seeing this place not open on time! If I knew it wouldn’t open on time I wouldn’t of waited around the area.

Not the best frozen yogurt I’ve had, but it is in my neighborhood and for a quick desert snack I think it does the job. I wish the toppings and things were labelled, but overall it is a decent place to have frozen yogurt.

Stale Mochi that was hard as a rock. The brownie bites were unrecognizable. I had to ask the cashier what it was. They also tasted funky. The toppings must have been recycled several times. HOWEVER, I really liked the service because the guy was super nice and helpful. I had the very dark chocolate, the tart, and tropical, something tasted off about all 3 flavors. They definitely were not on the same level of taste as sweet frog or kuleyos froyo. Would not come back here, solely because the froyo tasted really artifical and funky.

Kids love it!!! Good selection of toppings and I like how they frequently change up the yogurt flavors. Sweet Frog watch out!

Nothing beyond the standard fryo stuff you get at Kuleyos or Sweet Frog. Went in because each of my kids had a $ 2 off coupon. Each of them got a $ 5 yogurt. The cashier was not sure what to do with the coupons so she asked the manager. The manager refused to accept two coupons and refused to split the order to enter two coupons. Her explanation was«our policy is one coupon per order.» Well that not on their coupon. I don’t get how a place like this can be completely uninterested in customer service when Kuleyos, a local place that does tons for the community, is right down the street. I know where to spend my money in the future.

The yogurt is ok but way too soft. I went there 2 weeks ago and there was no regular vanilla. When I decided on a different flavor the machine broke. Today they were out of chocolate and whipped cream. Probably not going back. Sweet Frog is way better!

As I write this review, I am conflicted. I’ve actually only been here once, my first Zinga experience. I loved it. Currently a Sweet Frog fan exclusively(I don’t like the restrictive nature of the other froyo places, fixed portion sizes, etc.). But, tart yogurt is where it’s at. All the other sweet varieties are meh. So, that pretty much leaves me with one – very good – choice at Sweet Frog, «original tart». Enter my Zinga experience – they have two tart choices, plain and blueberry. And, you can swirl paired flavors. And, lots of easily reached sample cups, so I basically tried everything. Ended up buying half blueberry tart(amazing), and half swirled plain tart and watermelon sorbet(equally amazing). It was firm, sour, and flavorful. Loved it! Why the conflict – I eagerly took my girl to the Ashburn location to try this delight, and we were so disappointed sampling that we walked out. So, I need to figure out what went wrong in my Zinga universe, and might have to post again. Stay tuned.

FroYo for people who don’t like FroYo. It has the taste and consistency of ice cream but none of the fat. The flavors are delicious and taste exactly like what they are(I tried almost all of them, including café au lait and devil’s food cake) but I went with their incredible vanilla on top of a brownie(yes, you read that right. They have a number of bases you can start with like a funfetti cupcake or a cookie!) They also offer about a million toppings but I decided on hot fudge and Ghirardelli caramel. Didn’t go 5-stars because I thought the kids working could have been a lot more customer service oriented.

Finally, no more tart yogurt! This is the only Zinga I have patronized. The spot that was here before(can’t remember the name) served frozen tart yogurt. And apparently, I wasn’t the only one that disliked tart yogurt, because Zinga has come to save the day! I stopped in because I was trying to calm an ice cream craving. And I figured I didn’t have much to lose with trying a new yogurt spot in South Riding. Zinga is coated with bright colors and cheerful staff. As you enter the yogurt area, you see the freshly made baked cupcakes that you can use as your base. Or you can use small paper cups for sampling. I am such a plain Jane, so I only sampled the vanilla. But when I go back, I will only sample all the yogurt, and then leave… because I can’t make buying expensive yogurt a habit. I loaded my vanilla yogurt with peanuts, rainbow sprinkles, sour gummy worms, and heath bar pieces. If your yogurt weighs in at 13.5 oz, then its free! Imagine how upset I was when my dessert came in at 13.6 oz. If only I wasn’t so greedy and added those sour gummy worms, then I wouldn’t be complaining about the price.

We just happened to be doing some shopping in the shopping center when we noticed Zinga and decided to try it. We didn’t realize it was the grand opening! Apparently they had had some free yogurt or whatnot earlier in the morning, but we missed it. As soon as we walked in, the staff greeted us and one of them explained how things work. They had waffle cones and brownies on the side that you can use as the base of your froyo which I thought was a neat idea. The frozen yogurt was okay. one of the machines apparently wasn’t working well and all it squirted out was watery mush. I tried the chocolate which was very good but too rich for my taste, and the red velvet, which I cringed after tasting. It tasted like some sort of flavored medicine to me. x(My boyfriend didn’t like it either. I ended up just getting the normal tart flavor, which was very yogurt-y and not too sweet which I liked. The island counter of all the toppings seemed to be in an awkward place. It would have been better to place it a little farther from the froyo station so that people getting froyo wont bump into those getting the toppings. The fruit looked fresh, but the mango was sour and hard. not ripe at all. I was happy to see mochi, but they had no honey! I always put honey in my froyo. that was disappointing. The decoration was overkill. I know it was the grand opening and they had balloons everywhere, but the little cutouts on the walls of hats and mustaches looked tacky to me. maybe because you could tell they weren’t die-cuts and were cut by hand. There were also random paper-printed pictures of people with big mustaches taped with masking tape on the tables. That was really weird. if you’re going to put pictures on tables, don’t use masking tape! It reminded me of arts and crafts in elementary school. Also, the picture was just not something I want to look at while eating froyo. I know a lot of thought and preparation went into opening this place(balloons, cute strawberry stress balls, baked goods, signs everywhere, etc) but I think some of the things could have been toned down a little. I prefer a froyo place with good, fresh toppings and less crazy décor. Oh we did really like the idea of having water available for everyone. Very nice touch.

While it is still fresh in my head – Zinga! Frozen Yogurt has recently opened in the South Riding shopping center. We saw sign holders out on the street and decided – it’s the weekend! Why not? The décor is of any Frozen Yogurt establishment. Color lime green adorns the walls with cute wall text as well as ‘Frozen Yogurt mustache’ decorations. You will know what I mean when you get there! What makes this place different from all the other FroYo places that i’ve been to is that they have fresh made bakery items that you can choose from as the base of your FroYo. They have brownie, chocolate cake, and waffle cones all baked early in the morning(that’s what the employee told us) They have a variety of flavors and even more types of vanilla that you can image. I got: Cinnabon Flavor – tasted like an actual cinnabon but stronger? Can get overwhelmingly sweet so just a touch if you want the cinnabon but not have a sugar overload. Cookies and Cream. Second favorite of the three that I got. Reminded me of eating a Oreo McFlurry without the crunch of oreos. The best – Café Au Lait. I love coffee and this was the perfect mix of Coffee and sweetness that balanced well with one another. They have loads of add-ons that include the usual almonds, peanuts, M&M’s, Reeses, and fruits(kiwi, mango, strawberries). The almonds – thank goodness are the slivers almonds which are not a disaster to bite into.(lots of other froyo places take whole almonds and just gently crush them so they are still difficult to eat – here – they use the slivers which makes it to an easier bite.) **Please add Fruity Pebbles cereal! They have rice krispies, cinnamon toast crunch, capn’ crunch. Please add the color fruity pebbles! The service/employees were really nice and were more than happy to show you around the add-on bars if you haven’t been to a froyo establishment before. What I really enjoyed is that if you decide to eat in – there is a water station where you can grab a cup of water after your meal – because we all know that we crazy a lil’ liquid after some sweets. :) Will be back!
