So I’ve been there 4 or 5 times. Their prices are crazy high, but they are convenient. And I really like the folks that work there — really friendly. B/c of their prices, I’ll try to wait until Wednesday specials. So I did 8 shirts, light starch at about $ 2 a shirt. Of the 8 shirts, I can wear only one without ironing. There are creases in various places on all of them. I don’t think any starch was used. I’d used them for shirts once before but I think only on a couple shirts, and they were fine enough, I think I had to iron one a bit. But failing on 7 of 8? I’ll be going elsewhere.

So the prices are outrageously high, but that’s only compared to the super-toxic methods used by other dry cleaners who can charge lower prices. I would recommend looking up their Wednesday deals and trying one of those. I emailed the company asking about their green/safe cleaning method– I was concerned because they still used the very suspicious chemical used in traditional methods. The CEO wrote me back within 24 hours and explained how A Cleaner World does use that chemical, but uses it in a very diluted amount compared to other places (and they offer «wet cleaning» which does not use it all). I was very impressed by how responsive and thorough the answer was to my question.

A Cleaner World did do right by me after all. Shortly after I posted my review on here, one of the people from corporate called and said they would have a check waiting for me that afternoon. I appreciate the fact that the company recognized the error and made an effort to make it better by reimbursing me for the shirts.

I am a huge critic of dry cleaners (I’ve tried almost all of them in CH) and A Cleaner World meets my expectations!
I gave them a solid, beautiful, green silk dress to dry clean that had been doused in olive oil at an Italian restaurant. They got the entire spot out. I don’t care about their prices, because if it means my clothes remain wearable, I’ll pay any (reasonable) price.

I am a performer and juggler with a flame resistant wardrobe. I often use fire in my acts and need special care and handling so the finish is not removed. I trust this dry cleaners to make sure that I stay safe and my outfit is clean and tidy. They do a wonderful job of pressing as well.
