Battle Park is right in the heart of Chapel Hill and UNC. We were just in Chapel Hill for the day and decided to explore Battle Park on our way to the Gimghoul castle. Battle Park is a small urban park — very forested — and quite beautiful! Worth exploring if you’re in the area! And a great place for runners!

While there are few nice trails here what’s more interesting about the place are a couple cool landmarks, namely the outdoor Forest Theater and Gimghoul Castle which is some mysterious building owned by a secret society — Order of the Gimghoul.
