Yummy coffee, and the best chai I’ve had(they make it fresh, not from a mix). A tad overpriced. Never lingered here, and never wanted to, it looks uncomfortable. It would be a 4 star place if it were cozier. I grab a coffee here when attending classes off-site for work.

I love the coffee and the baristas are always wonderful… AND they have Luna Pops and Guglhupf pastries!

Decent coffee. Quick service. Small, uncomfortable mismatching furniture. Friendly people. For the price you might as well take your business somewhere tastier and more comfortable.

Bad, overpriced coffee and snacks, and a pretty terrible space. I really do wish Meadowmont could get a better coffee shop.

I’m a big fan of Bean Traders and the only reason I didn’t give this location 5 stars is because I felt like I would be cheating on my regular location on HWY54. Still the same great folks and wonderful coffee!

Eh. It seems like a nice place, though the atmosphere wasn’t as welcoming as similar coffee places(maybe it’s the metallic look inside). Also, prices are only listed for coffee itself, without any prices listed for specialty or iced coffees. I ended up with a $ 3 iced coffee that was okay(but not remarkable) and generally not really feeling the place.

The is the real deal for coffee connoisseurs tired of packaged authenticity. The baristas know what they’re doing.

On the plus side, the service was friendly and the music was great! On the downside, I didn’t love my drink – it was too sweet. They do have a big selection of coffee beans. I thought my drink was way overpriced and was surprised by the price, as prices aren’t listed anywhere prominently that I noticed. I would go here again, but it’s just ok. Also, FYI – they only take cash or checks.

best iced coffee ever! also the only place I actually like the lattes… the whipped cream is homemade and FULL fat(unlike starbucks… a plus in my book). My fav is the iced coffee with irish cream!

One of my professors swore by this place, so I decided to give it a shot, but the coffee wasn’t too good. I thought maybe it was just an off day, so I gave it another try, and had about the same experience with my stand-by vanilla latte. The barista was great, and even offered to remake my drink the second time I went, but it tasted the same the second go-round. The coffee is not terrible by any means, but I think I’ll stick with Starbucks for now.

I agree with Christina… I’ve never had occasion to actually sit down in Bean Traders and I have no motivation to ever start. The atmosphere there just isn’t really to my liking. It’s not quite friendly or artistic enough(while I’m not a decorator nor a hippie, I do demand that a modicum of thought go into designing a place). The coffee, however, is great, much better than most places you’re going to find(including Starbucks, for you corporate addicts out there). They have a reasonable selection of types and the baristas are fast and friendly. Great place for a coffee on the go and ideally placed along the main Meadowmont drag to allow for it.

I was looking for a refreshing iced coffee and wandered into Café Carolina which was close to where I’d parked in Meadowmont. Their menu seemed to only offer hot drinks, but I knew this was nearby so I walked on in to check it out. Bean Traders started out as just one shop in Homestead but it’s grown to have three locations. Very warehouse-like and small with a handful of tables inside and some rocking chairs outside. They had dog dishes in and out, so they appear to be pet-friendly, but I didn’t see any animals lounging around while I was there. There was just one barista manning the counter, but she was efficient enough. Though, when a customer spilled her beverage, no one went to clean up the mess the whole half hour I spent there. Great selection of beans and fresh-tasting coffee; but definitely better for coffee-on-the-go than a sit-in experience.
