Chapel Hill Tire

I’ve used Chapel Hill Tire for oil changes for months now. Always fair prices and pretty quick service.
I brought my car to them for an issue with my license plate screw. They addressed it as best they could, for FREE and were honest with me that for part of the job, I would need to take it to a Toyota dealer as it was a Toyota-​specific issue.
Bottom line: for all service needs, take it to Chapel Hill Tire first. They’re great.

Good place and fare on the prices as well. Fast service. They have a nice waiting area and there is always a spot open for service. Somewhere I can even go for lunch as well. Mexican restaurant subway or dominos.

Wanted to charge $ 90 for a oil change using Kendall synthetic blend. Crazy!!! Went to Firestone that carries the same oil for $ 29.95. This place continues to rip-​off unsuspecting customers! Wake Up People!!! You’re paying too much.

I live a mile from the location on 15 – 501, so when I had a flat tire it was very convenient but not wise on my wallet. The tire ended up costing me $ 150 in total, whcih is quite ridiculous when I have a 1999 nissan altima. I compared the price of the tire to other places after and they up-​charged it $ 60. The service is nothing spectacular but I do like they call a week after your service to check on you, very pleasant. I wouldn’t advise getting new tires here because of the price. I can only review the tire service since that’s all I received.

My old office was more convenient to the Carrboro location, but the job I took next put me closer to Cole Park Plaza. Since I’ve always had good experiences with the guys on Main Street, I decided to stick with them and get a tire patched at this location. They did a fine job; I dropped it off during a lunch break, picked it up an hour later, and had no problems with the repair. Though they do accept walk-​ins, I’d recommend scheduling an appointment with these guys so you can avoid a long wait. Course if you do wait on the vehicle, you’ve got University Mall within walking distance which is great for killing time. I’d definitely recommend and trust these guys for basic car maintenance and repair, but if you want super service (friendly, professional, and clearly ‘car guys’) take your ride to Auto Pro-​to-​Call, where they have that extra something.
