Jay Manley and Jane Francis are the best guitar teachers in the area for children and adults. My son has taken guitar lessons from Jay for many years and has an incredibly deep range of knowledge that has helped him prepare for many auditions, including advanced jazz ensemble at CHHS and a summer composition workshop at UNCSA. Jay always keeps lessons engaging and structured for your child’s strengths and interest level. Their welcoming studio has an organized yet relaxed atmosphere. My son has a love of music that will stay with him throughout his life. Now that’s an awesome teacher!

My daughter has been taking bass guitar lessons from Jane for three years now. She is an amazing teacher. My daughter has learned to read music as well as just play the notes. Jay and Jane have been exceptionally welcoming to us in their home and make taking my girl to lesson a joy and not a chore. I have grown to know Jay as well and he is a great guy. I have and will continue to recommend them for anyone young and old who want to learn guitar or bass. They really care for their students and want to help them succeed.
