I had a bridesmaid dress that was too small, and I needed it to be «let out». After taking it to another local tailor, and telling them what I needed, they said there was nothing that could be done to get the dress to fit. Because I was panicking, I took the dress to the next closest tailors for a 2nd opinion… Glenn’s Tailor Shop. Thank goodness for this place! The woman working the sewing machine could tell I was desperate, and together, we came up with a plan. It took about 3 weeks, but she was able to give me an extra 4 inches… the dress looks fantastic, it fits, and the alterations were very reasonably priced! I will definitely be going back for my tailor-ing needs.

I had a bridesmaid dress that needed some major alterations in the underarm area and all down the sides. My mom and I had tried to fix it ourselves but the lining was sewn in in such a way that it would be nearly impossible, and I don’t see how anyone could fix it. I have zero experience getting clothes altered so I don’t have much to compare it to, but Glenn’s fixed my dress perfectly. Despite the strange and intricate way the dress was assembled, they managed to fix it so it looks as if it was made just right in the first place. The woman that I talked to there was also very nice, and she was able to have it done in 9 days, although I feel like she could have done it sooner if I had asked. I’ll definitely be taking all my other alterations there in the future!

Brought him two thick leather motorcycle jackets that were extremely baggy in the chest, and loose around the waist. Real friendly guy — got to talking about motorcycles, good rides/destinations, knew firsthand where to leave a little room in the jacket for riding position. Anyway, I got back two jackets that finally fit properly. Couldn’t have asked for more — waist adjusted, torso taken in, liner resewn as if had never been touched. Couldn’t be happier — looks great, and with a good turn-around time of 7 business days. Definitely recommended.

The store is off the main beat of Franklin Street, on the street level of Rosemary Street. It’s a little tucked away, but not really, they have a sign that sits out on the sidewalk to give you a heads up. It’s a tidy place with a row of 3 or 4 sewing machines that will pull those snips & trims into place. Mrs. Oliver, was working on a dress when I walked in and Glenn was ironing some slacks with steam piping through the iron. They’ve been in business since 1994, the shop is plastered with basketball posters and the TV going in the background(low volume). Their work is exceptional and professional, yet the atmosphere is easy going and down to earth; they have some interesting conversation when you drop off your fine pieces to be altered. Ask Mrs. Oliver about her soaps, or the latest in Hollywood, she’ll bring you up to speed. As per Glenn, some of his clients who drop off their jeans, want to have them altered for their«J Lo».
