My family and I visit frequently in the warmer months — kombucha on tap is great(although often sold out!), the menu has been expanding to include wine, cheeses and sandwhiches, and while the playground is a bit random the kids love to wander the grounds. It even has a full-size May pole, which is delightful and rare.

Teas, tinctures, time. The three things you need if you come here. Their tea list is crazy good and their herbs are all grown on site on their beautiful, peaceful grounds. As you wait for your tea, step around the corner and pick out a tincture. Their tinctures are wonderful. I’m from CA and I bought the elderberry and anxiety tinctures to go and they compete well(if not better) than my Homestead Apothecary tinctures here in the Bay. I’m really particular about my tinctures so that says a lot. It may have to do with the terrain and regional offerings but this was the case with these two. The grounds are what take your breath away. Stroll along to the outdoor tables to enjoy your tea or walk across the little bridge and pond. Such a good experience and I hope to one day return. Thank you for the hospitality!

If you have a taste for tea like some people have a taste for wine or coffee, you will love this place. It’s tea, with no apologies about its simplicity. I’ve had Pu’er tea(my favorite from when I lived in China), strawberry soda, elderberry soda, a handpie, and a blueberry muffin. Over the rim of your mug, a bamboo skewer sealing the pouch of loose tea together. How quaint. They have real fruit smoothies, unlike some false advertisers who shall remain nameless in Carrboro. Not only is the fruit fresh, it’s picked on premises, within sight of your seat. There’s surrounding farmland to roam free on. Peaceful, tranquil. At night, no noise or light pollution. Quotes from the voices in my head on the first visit way back when: «I can’t believe this place is only two months old!» «Precocious – what wonders will it perform when all grown up??» Oftentimes there will be live music in the evenings. Honeysuckle Tea House is… pu’er’fect. There, I said it.

It was my first time to try this place. I ordered the jasmine green tea, which was delightfully smooth with a warm floral scent that was strong. Also ordered the cheese and fruit tray, which I highly recommend. This place has a wonderful selection of locally sourced food and gluten free products. Everything is fresh and healthy. The best thing about Honeysuckle Tea House is the ambience of sitting in fresh air and viewing the tea gardens outside. Dress for the outdoor temperature and bring a book to curl up on the couches with. The outdoor pond and gardens need a little work to look more finished, but the house itself is gorgeous and a great place to spend some time relaxing. Would go back here again!

This is a very unique spot out in the middle of nowhere offering fantastic teas, smoothies, coffee, kombucha, pastries, and local products. When I visit I like to either chill out with a book or take advantage of the wifi and get some work done, then stroll in the garden. Before I head out I peruse the selection of loose teas, local honey, and herbal tinctures. On my last visit I picked up some dried lemon verbena leaves for cheap, which I use as a tea to help me sleep. I also recommend the amazing raw chocolate made by Sweet Steve. I love coming here when Lindsey is working — she’s really nice. And on weekends they have live music. It’s definitely worth the drive!

I’m glad I found this hidden gem! Such a cool place to hang out –open air dining where you can enjoy healthy food from vegan to gluten free/music events on weekends/most of all — a good apothecary café. Love their herbal sodas-Lavender is a good flavor. At the tea house, you have the view of the farm & nice gardens. It is pet friendly too & you can play with their dog Murphy.

I have never understood Starbucks people. Why the hell would you want to linger over an overpriced cup of bitter coffee? I choose to linger over an amazing cup of tea in a setting that is best described as enchanting. The tea house was built using old shipping containers and trees that were on the property. It is surrounded by gardens, where the tea you are drinking originates. It is a kid-friendly space with a playground that even has a May Pole! The teas are wonderful. They also have food — pastries, cheese that sort of thing. Plan to linger here awhile, absorbing the amazing vibe. Starbucks is going to look even more plastic after you spend time here.

I almost hesitate to review this hidden gem, but I think the word is already out! Whoever had this idea is a genius! We just spent the afternoon at this little slice of heaven out in the country. We sat up in the open air covered porch and watched the children below frolicking through the play areas, some playing catch with what seems to be the house dog, while listening to some great music from a live band, drank delicious ice tea and shared a tasty wood fired pizza from a local food truck on site. What else could you ask for on a lovely Sunday afternoon? Nothing more, because there was even a wonderful breeze the entire time. The staff is super nice and friendly and managed to keep up with the continual line of people partaking in the wide variety of food and beverages. Time just slips away here and we didn’t want to leave. If I lived closer I’d be a regular, but we will definitely be back, especially as the weather cools down so we can try out a nice pot of hot tea!

Honeysuckle is an excellent location to hang out with friends, or get some studying done. The entire place is open-air so it is a wonderful way to enjoy the weather while still being in the shade of the building. The location and vibe of the place is very peaceful and relaxing. However, I think they are still working on their landscaping as there are still lots of large patches of dirt in the back. The food selections were definitely not great. By the time we got there in the early afternoon, some of the muffin choices were already sold out and there were only 1 – 2 other choices. Their tea selection is decent however and they have the cutest cups! Overall, a bit of a work in progress, but definitely in the right direction!

I enjoy coming here a lot for a nice afternoon in nature. The tea is great. It’s really peaceful and relaxing — to do work or read, unless there’s a performer. Then it’s a bit louder.

Very cool hippie style tea house and farm built on top of shipping containers. It feels like a tree house. Open air. Very relaxing atmosphere. Great teas, sodas, and smoothies.

Beautiful scenery, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and delicious teas and pastries. Great place to catch up with friends or catch up on work. Be aware, there are limited tables inside where the power cables are. Also, bring a coat if it’s chilly because you’re exposed to the elements.

This gorgeous tea house in the middle of nowhere transports you to a serene farm-like setting. It is open-air, beautiful, strange, and, for those missing the tv show Lost, makes you feel a bit like you might run into Ben or Kate working the fields in the Dharma Initiative. There is a small playground and a maypole. Yes, a maypole. This is not your typical tea shop. I went on the weekend and there was great Spanish live music. Go.

This place is heaven. Absolute heaven. I had no idea it existed until about 2 weeks ago, and I’m hooked. It(sadly) closes come November for winter, but I can’t wait to spend more time there in the spring. The wifi is shaky, but it’s a better place to just read and be. Nice for studying, a tea date, being outside, etc. I should mention that the place is completely open — no windows. I love this feature but it does mean you feel all of the day’s features. Other than that, the tea selection is wonderful. About $ 5 for a pot of tea for 2 – 3 to share. Definitely definitely should check this place out.

An open air tea house on its own organic farm outside of chapel hill. Truly a unique experience. In the summer, it has the feel of something you would run up on in the middle of the jungle in Southeast Asia. The tea selection is tremendous and the portions large for the price ipad and served with all of the necessary condiments. This is a must visit for a chill afternoon.

One of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve been to in recent history. It’s completely open-air(I’m actually really curious to see how they manage in the winter…) and most definitely off the beaten path, literally. I’m in love with every aspect of this place, from the gravelly entrance adorned unapologetically with the giant wooden sign overhead, to the ridiculously awesome garden(s) and super hippie vibe. If I had ever decided to open up a teahouse it would look exactly like this and I think i would never leave. If you’re a misanthrope, I think even you could be happy here! The only sad thing about this place is that obviously the wifi isn’t the greatest(although likely if you came here you’re not itching to stay connected) and the food selection is kind of minimal/not ideal. I had a scone here and it was crumbly and dry, forgotten-like. The tea here is stellar and warms the soul though, and I’m certainly not knocking off any stars for this oasis on THAT basis.

Score for Chapel Hill ! Another Unique __— _– -. .. . Cool and Weird(in a Good Way) as Caffe Driade though Very Different! Earth, Water, Sky, Wind, Fire and LOVE, replace«Haute Tension with«The Wicker Man» Earth — Planet Earth — Farm — Compound-ish Looks. Smoothie had an Earthy Flavor similar to Dirt Water — They have a Pond Sky — we felt like we were in the Mountains, the Maypole was on display Wind — the feel of being far from civilization — Open Air = no windows, NOAC, which did not matter, the day we went the weather was Perfekt! Fire — I could imagine a night-time scene with a Bonfire Dance(celebration of _____) Party ! Read above the lines!!! They have live Music on Friday and Saturdays after 7PM Love — YES! Romance… This place does have a Primitive and unique(for the Triangle) vibe, similar to what we expected though a percentage of the patrons were curious to see what this place is like! Lookalota? YES, YesT ! Cookies were as good as it gets for a «Healthy» Cookie Design reminded me of being somewhere in South East Asia, or the Bottom of the Himalayas even though I have never been off this Continent I will return and find out more about these Teas, bring Mars3 and see what he thinks!

This place is a little piece of heaven. Seriously, we went to see if they had herb starters for our garden, and they did have a few(we were mid-May, so late enough in the season to have slimmer pickings). That was wonderful, and the plants I purchased from this are THRIVING! Now to the amazing part of the visit. When we came, we brought our 7 year old twins, but weren’t sure how child-friendly the place would be. It is PERFECT for families with children, and you can tell they’ve gone out of their way to show that they welcome children. The tea house is all open seating — like a huge, giant covered front porch. The construction is unique and beautiful — lots of natural wood and logs. Just next to the tea house is a playground and sand play area, well-stocked with hoops! We were no farther from our children while they played that we would be if we were sitting on our back porch while they played in the yard. We got ice teas to drink for us and the kids, choosing their NourishMint blend of teas. It was delicious and refreshing, and we were able to add a little honey for the kids so they loved it as well. The service was excellent, and the woman behind the counter answered some of my daughters questions about plant identification. They also have free wifi. Before we left, we walked over behind the tea house where they had a lovely little pond. At the time we visited, there were lots of little tadpoles starting to grow legs and hop around — little baby frogs! My twins had fund watching them and learning about them.
