Convenient way to get to Dean E. Smith Center! It’s $ 5 for a roundtrip($ 3 for one way) on a heated or air-conditioned bus with lots of seats and standing room. Information for riding on the Tarheel Check out this website for the latest information and details: . You can see different pick-up locations, which usually include Friday Center, Southern Village, Airport Drive(103 Airport Drive, Chapel Hill), Jones Ferry and on Franklin Street directly in front of the Carolina Café. Because of recent construction, busses currently do not run from University Place, formerly University Mall. Buses run every 10 – 15 minutes prior to and during the game(and for approximately 45 minutes post-game). The buses are color-coded so you won’t take the wrong one. However, if you’re confused, look for a staff member in a bright yellow vest directing people!

I have been to many different stadiums to watch many different sports and have gotten there many different ways. I don’t think that I have ever had a smoother experience getting to and from a sporting event on public transportation as I did on the Tarheel Express. $ 5 bucks to get round-trip transportation to the Dean Dome(they also service UNC football games) is a steal. Parking is always a pain at a sporting event… made even harder due to the fact that it’s on a school campus. Take the bus and avoid the hassle! Everything was very efficient and orderly. Highly recommend!
