I’d give Bradley a six star review if I could. He is my «go to» guy for any questions I have about dolls. He’s basically a walking doll encyclopedia that cracks jokes. I enjoy visiting his store and picking his brain about my most recent finds. He is extremely helpful and approachable. When my little girl is old enough to enjoy dolls(instead of just chewing on them) I will certainly be bringing her to The Swell Doll Shop, as I sure that she will be thrilled by it. Great selection with great service!

Not only is the stock ever-changing and terrific, the prices are easily some of — if not THE — best you’ll find on antique, vintage, modern and new dolls. The shop owner, Bradley, is gracious and knowledgeable — always willing to answer questions, share his enormous knowledge base, help you track down that rare vintage doll you’ve been searching high and low for, and on top of all that, he throws a heck of a party at the shop! The monthly events held a the shop are not to be missed.(Bradley usually publicizes them on the Swell Doll Shop Facebook page, for those who’d like to keep up on the hip and happenin’ fun!) I walked in by chance over a year ago before moving to the area and was simply blown away by everything I’ve mentioned above — prices, selection, Bradley himself — phenomenal! Just a complete and total experience for the collector, hobbyist, or even families with kids. Check out the bins of $ 1 Barbies, doll clothes you can quite literally buy in bulk, $ 2 vintage Mattel clothing, and scads of NRFB playline dolls from the last 20 years. Definitely somewhere between a museum and a shop — you won’t believe what Bradley has!

If you’re looking for a particular kind of doll or have questions, the owner probably has the doll and plenty of answers. He’s quite a doll aficionado and has past professional experience in the doll world. Even if you’re not a collector, the Swell Doll Shop has great gift choices. My own 5 year old got a great deal on some old-school Barbies and the coolest Barbie-sized wind-up sewing machine! Great store!

The first real doll store the Triangle’s had since My Doll Boutique closed ten or more years ago. You will find anything from vintage Barbies to old wooden Japanese kokeshi dolls to European bisques. While there is plenty here to make the mouths of hard-core collectors water, there is also plenty for the casual collector and kids. Go just to see the fun and funky things that the owner, Bradley, has displayed.
