I really wanted to like this meal, but was not good. I was a little apprehensive to choose this truck because I figured it would be too much bacon in everything. After reading the menu online, the food descriptions sounded delicious, so I gave it a try. I tried the Triple Bacon Burger and added cheese and it comes with fries($ 11) and a bacon brownie($ 3). The brownie was the best thing about this meal. The shoe string fries were limp and a little greasy, and my bacon was not crispy it was chewy, but the fat on it made it weird. I had to remove the fat from the pieces of bacon then it still tasted undercooked, so I removed it from the burger. So many people seem to love this truck, and I was hoping to become one of them. For a truck that is all about Bacon, it seems like the bacon should be the main item cooked to perfection every time. Maybe it was an off day because there were so many people out today, but I can say that I won’t return.

I have had several meals from Bac’n Me Crazy over the last few months, and I can say that they are about the best at what they do anywhere. I have been all over the country and consider myself a foodie, especially when it comes to all things«pork» and they flat out do it right. They give you plenty to eat, it’s hot, served quickly and with a smile. But most importantly, everything is DELICIOUS!!! Lastly, they work their«buns» off to please everyone, and you can’t ask for more than that. I highly recommend them without hesitation

This food truck is absolutely amazing. All the their food is fresh, and burgers are cooked to order. There are not very many food trucks that cook to order. Usually it’s all premade and sits in a warmer. Their candied bacon, in my opinion, is the absolute best!

My boyfriend and I had the chocolate covered bacon at the ART festival on Daniel island on the 21st of June. We paid like $ 3 for one piece. While the chocolate was good, surprisingly the bacon was awful. Firstly, the girl in charge of the window takes our money and just whips out a rolled up paper out of somewhere right in front of her which made me think the sticks were just sitting there. Then, when we bit into the bacon, it was just bad. It didn’t taste like artisan bacon, but like the kind you get from Sysco(the company that many restaurants order food and products from). We were not impressed at all. The bacon tasted burnt, bitter, and really dried out like it was left out for hours. It had clearly been made hours before. It was beyond disappointing. The sign for the chocolate covered bacon said it was«addicting,» and it was anything but.

I tried the Ultimate Grilled Cheese sandwich, which was Swiss and cheddar cheeses with bacon and green apple on artisan bread with bacon salt fries($ 6.) The fries were very thin shoestrings and were cooked too well done for my liking. The sandwich? I’ve made better grilled cheeses at home. To start with, the sandwich was charred very dark, too much for my taste. The«artisan» bread was very thick — think Texas Toast. There were 2 pieces of thick cut bacon, which although it sounds lovely, left me struggling to bite through it. The green apple was WAY too thickly sliced. Each half of the sandwich had 2 half-inch thick slices(slabs) of apple that added to the difficulty of eating it. After just a couple of bites, I ended up pulling out the apple and bacon and eating them separately from the rest of the grilled cheese. That being said, as a suggestion to the food truck owners, makeover your Ultimate Grilled Cheese — add paper thin slices of apple over the entire slice of bread and use several slices of very thin bacon. Grill it at a lower temperature for longer, so the apples cook slightly and the cheese is really melty without charring the bread. I’ll try the food truck another time — I’ll give the BLT a try. It got rave reviews around my office.

Overall we had a very good experience with this gourmet food truck. My husband and I both had the BLT — with a mere two pieces of bacon it didn’t scream spectacular but definitely tasty. The bacon aioli and pimento cheese were yummy and the bread was soft and chewy. The candied bacon was a bit of a let down — first of all, it’s $ 3 for ONESLICE. It seemed a bit pricey. The taste was fine, nothing to write home about — the one end of our slice didn’t seem to be cooked all the way, though we know it certainly was, it just seemed odd. Their Mac and Cheese is for more of an adult palette — neither of our kids took more than 3 bites and said it tasted«funny» — um, no kids, that’s what you call delightful. Certainly not your typical Mac and Cheese but creamy and cheesily delicious all the same. Those fries? Shut the door. They’re perfection. All in all we were very happy despite the skimpy bacon amounts.

I was at a user conference at the Wild Dunes Resort recently and the organizers set up a food truck rodeo on the last night. My love of bacon led me to this truck first. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp which was a mix of 2 of my favorite foods. I was surprised to see I got just one shrimp wrapped in bacon. I thought it was a little stingy since this was supposed to be for dinner… it did taste great but I headed over to the Rollin South truck for their Mahi tacos to satisfy my remaining hunger.

I’ve had the salad and subbed it with turkey bacon for a healthier option. I think the pecans give it a weird flavor that clashes but the apple slices dipped in the bacon vinegarette is bomb. I would go with the classic BLT, bread is from Saffron bakery and is smothered in bacon aioli and pimento cheese. Bacon heaven!!!

Managed to try this today, opted for the newly added salad. Mixed greens, candied pecans, crasins, green apple slices, bacon wrapped chicken tenders, and a bacon vinaigrette. Very tasty salad, everything meshed well as a whole. I really enjoyed the whole sweet and savory aspect of the salad, with a nice texture difference due to the apples and pecans. My only complaint is that the chicken itself was bland and dry, but when mixed with the vinaigrette and the salad you couldnt tell. Some other items on the menu that seamed to be popular around the workplace. Triple bacon burger, bacon stuffed burger with bacon strips, and a bacon aoli. Candied bacon side dish. Bacon bowl mac and cheese. Look forward to trying the burger next time, maybe after I spend the morning in the gym.
