Buck’s Pizza

We are from Dallas, Texas, staying in a hotel house hunting the Charleston area … great phone order service and excellent pizza. Can’t wait to move here and order again!

First time at Buck’s! Michael took my order, and was most helpful in all aspects. It was my first time ordering, and he answered all my questions and made suggestions with enthusiasm! He was also the driver, and arrived promptly with our food, and displayed a warm attitude. He is an asset!
The food was slightly above par. We ordered a large (pretty small large, but sufficient) two-​topping, with pepperoni and mushroom. I will say the dough is delish! I was very surprised that they used canned/​jarred mushrooms. I didn’t think anyone still did that. I also expected to see at least some of the melted cheese atop the toppings. We also ordered a spinach Alfredo pizza. I was happy there was so much bacon! The Italian hoagie was not terrible; I’d caution anyone who wants to add mayo, to ask if the Italian dressing could be poured on lightly. They use way too much even with no mayo, in my opinion.
The prices were good, which makes more sense now. But I will say, for ‘junk food’ pizza, it was pretty ok. I would probably order it again.

Unacceptable delivery time.
10:44 PM — Placed order online (after trying to phone in order — busy signal)
11:29 PM — Received e-​mail saying order was out for delivery
11:56 PM — Called store to inquire. Said the wait time for tonight was 1:30 — 1:45. Said my order should arrive in 25 mins
12:31 AM — Called store again. At this point, 1:45 — 1:50 after I placed my order. Spoke to manager, who said I should have called the store right after placing my order online to see what the wait time was, even though I had waited longer than the 1:30 — 1:45 projected wait time. Did not seem willing to offer me anything, but assured me that my pizza would arrive hot and fresh.
2 hours after placing my order — Pizza arrives, not hot and fresh, but kind of warm with congealed cheese.
I’m sorry, but 2 hours is not an acceptable amount of time to wait for pizza.

I know a lot bad reviews are related to the delivery, we always pick up our food. Its not amazing pizza, but its cheap and the closest thing to our apartment. pan pizzas are the way to go, you get way more toppings and sauce

We almost did not order from this place because of the other reviews but I am glad we did. The pizza was wonderful. We had one pepperoni and one spinach Alfredo. Both were great. We also ordered cookies but they weren’t anything special. The man who delivered was very friendly. The part I didn’t like was the hour long wait.

We ordered at 7pm — delivered at 9pm. The pizza was lackluster. The crust was okay, a bit soft. The sauce had no flavor. The worst part? After waiting so long, the delivery guy stands around our hotel room making small talk. The only good part — they brought plenty of napkins.

Best pizza in town with the largest variety of menu items. Wings, pasta, specialty pizza and even delicious fried chicken!

Pizza is good for a drunken night I would probably never order pizza from them again on any normal circumstance, it didn’t heat up well the next day either. However, I did enjoy their Alfredo, again its not the best but it worked.

I was told that my pizza may or may not arrive in an hour and a half. It did arrive an hour and a half later… however I have found better tasting frozen pizza. There was nothing special about it. A more creative crust or anything would have made it. I’ll be ordering papa johns next time.

Ordered fries, wings, and a cookie for delivery. They show up… no fries… Delivery person said for me to call and let the store know … I call 4 times and the phones are busy… Service is horrible and wings were floating in grease.

They SAID it was Lasagna… NOT ! throwing some pre cooked lasagna pasta and pre cooked ingredients in a plastic bowl with waaaaaay to much, seriously over seasoned, canned, hearty marinara sauce, is NOT lasagna. And it was BADDDDDD !
The «garlic bread» was the equivalent of a McDonald’s bun.
I won’t bother with this restaurant again.

Pleasantly surprised with how good the pasta was. Wings were also great. Good honey mustard sauce! Will order again for sure.

If your hungry call them early. First time I’ve used Bucks 1 ½ hours later I am still waiting on the Bucks Deluxe

While I felt bad for the delivery person after an hour and a half wait, (which I was told would be 45 min) our food was delivered Luke warm. I called to check in multiple times and was put on hold each time and no one returned to the call after 8 minutes each time of holding. I will NEVER use a Bucks again. Worst experience ever.

After a flight from hell, we got into Charleston at 1:00aam. We were starved and had no other options for food. After reading other reviews, I was hesitant to order, but was so hungry I did t care what I got. Delivery time was faster than they estimated, and the pizza was a pretty standard delivery pizza. I did not expect anything fancy, so I was pleased with what I got.

Many reviewers. Pizza is nothing amazing but they were the only place that delivered at 2 am. Given the options (which were none) I was happy with the pizza.

We ordered Buck’s for delivery, and it was delicious! They delivered in about 30 minutes, and we were able to order online. We ordered the following and were 100% satisfied:
1) 10 mild wings –delicious, perfectly cooked
2) personal veggie Stromboli — just the right size for one person and perfectly priced!!!
3) small meaty Stromboli – big enough for two with 5 meats!
4) small chef salad-​large portion, 3 meats included
We were amazed at the quality and quantity of food and so thankful it was delivered.
I highly, highly recommend this spot!

It’s pizza. It’s delivery. You can’t really expect a lot. However I do expect my pizza to arrive within 30 minutes after I receive an email saying it’s out for delivery… nope it took over an hour and I literally live 15 – 20 min away from this place. Just don’t send the email out that early!
On top of that I was upset that I didn’t get any garlic dipping sauce and the lady said every pizza came with one. :(
When the delivery guy came he forgot my drink and receipt in the car. No big deal. Then he came back with just the receipt. Looks at me and says he’ll be back. Comes back finally with the drinks. Everything OK???
Sidenote: He was very nice and polite!
I’ll probably order from them again on a lazy night. Only because 1) I’m lazy and 2) the food is not that bad.

The low reviews on Unilocal are correct. My husband and I were in Charleston for our honeymoon. We were too lazy to go out and decided to order from this dump. Out of the places that we had ordered food from. This was the absolute worst.
I do not mind paying more for good food. In their case, they should pay us to eat this tripe. If you are ever tempted to order from here. Don’t. Order from here if you like lousy food, long wait for delivery and high prices. Save your money and order from somewhere else.

I ordered a couple of items for delivery because I got into my hotel late and didn’t feel like traveling out again that evening.
Cheeseburger pizza — it was delicious. Good sauce and crust. Hamburger was not greasy. Bacon. Cheese. Yum!
Hot garlic boneless wings — again very good!
For delivery pizza and not a chain? Delivery was fast. Food was as expected. I would eat here again.
