One of the smaller sized store with typical Cabela fair with a Gun Library, located off of Corridor G. Located in an area that had lots of shopping and restaurant options. They buy and sell used weapons. They have different(AR15, lever, shotguns, etc.) rifles on display where customers are allowed to pick up and hold. Never seen anything like it before. Despite actually buying items while visiting, the staff working in the hunting department didn’t make eye contact with me. But, sure kept an eye out for me and my other melanin rich compadre.

Called to check for a product Gave size color and told«Yes we have that» After driving there I was told they did not have it. Called back 2 weeks later, same thing except I said please check to make sure. Yep we have it! Drove there and the sales clerk said they haven’t had that size for over a month. ended up calling and ordering it on line. Friday I was ready to purchase another pair so I tried again… I did not call but took a chance. Waited 20 minutes for the single clerk in that dept and walked away. I did buy a dog harness that did not require a sales clerk. The Wheeling store was friendly and helpful. That is why I gave this store a second and third chance. No more.

A very large shop at the top of the hill with everything you could need to spend time outdoors in comfort. Warm clothes, tents, sleeping bags, fishing equipment and even canoes and kayaks. And yes, a massive selection of long rifles and handguns. Everyone with whom I interacted was especially friendly and helpful. Prices are towards the higher end of the chart, but this is good quality.

This is a huge store. Friendly and helpful employees. A nice selection of sporting goods. Though I was disappointed that I couldn’t find any shorts that fit me right

My first experience with Cabela’s was with their first flagship-style store in Nebraska, and I have to say that I was floored with the size of the place. At the time there was simply nothing comparable(or perhaps I hadn’t seen it). Now, competitors like Bass Pro Shops exist, Cabela’s also has a number of stores and of course I am jaded too. Nonetheless, we were in the area to visit family, so decided to make the trip to the latest store, on opening weekend no less, and see if it was everything I remembered — and take the kids as well. The verdict? Not what I remembered, but still impressive. Probably the most significant difference in Cabela’s over Bass Pro is found in the taxidermy. They even will often have a museum-like section dedicated to the area around the store. Of course, this costs money, because that area can’t be used for merchandise. It makes the store like an attraction — and that attraction only lasts a few minutes at best. There is also often a café of sorts. In this case, the taxidermy is less prominent than in other locations, and the café is smaller. I don’t have any insight, so would have to say that those items are taking a backseat to the other focus: Namely selling merchandise. On that front, Cabela’s isn’t really in my wheelhouse — but they did have a large crowd. Most of them seemed to be looking more than buying on that day, and those that did buy confronted large lines at the registers, which was to be expected. The staff was friendly, however, so even under the pressures of opening weekend, they kept up well!

Cool has a ton of stuff, not as big as some of the other ones that I’ve been in.

Went there to buy an outdoor fireplace. Store is well equipped and pretty impressive. I’m sure this wont be my last visit here.
