Charleston Snapped Photography

I recently had a gorgeous wedding at the Wild Dunes Grand Pavilion on the Isle of Palms. Everything was perfect. Except Charleston Snapped. The day before the wedding, I received an email stating that I had not made my final payment, and they basically may not show up. I was already extremely stressed out and did not need that! I had not made my final payment because the contract stated in bold letters the final payment is due 7 days after the wedding. After multiple phone calls, I finally got in touch with the owner Joseph. He said the 7 days after were a «grace period». I asked him why this was the first time I had heard that and why his contract says something and he was rude and snotty and told me «to make sure everything is taken care of I should probably just pay online right away». THIS WAS THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING. So I paid because I was worried I wouldn’t have a photographer. Anyway, the day of the photographer was disinterested, the pictures came out OK, and they sent me the wrong prints and blamed it on me. Go anywhere else.

I used Charleston Snapped Photography for my wedding in Charleston, SC. My wedding was a small destination wedding with 13 guests, including myself and my husband. I found Charleston Snapped online and after comparing various Charleston photographers, I really liked the quality of the pictures that they had posted on their site.
I had some initial confusion with the process of engaging them. When I completed the online form, I was sent an invoice and this was prior to someone calling me. I was a bit put off by this, but I got a phone call, profuse apologies and everything was smooth sailing after that. The photographer, Hanna, reached out to me personally prior to the wedding and we discussed the wedding photos and my expectations.
On the day of the wedding, everything was great and went very smoothly. In addition to the wedding shots, I also had my bridal portrait taken. Hanna was great to work with. She suggested great poses and great backdrops for photos.
I got the proofs back in a week! This was pretty incredible. I didn’t expect them back for a month. The pictures are gorgeous and I am very pleased. My only regret is that both the photographer and myself didn’t think to get individual photos of my groom. I am bummed about this, but I understand how it happed given the nature of my wedding and the fact that it rained and we had resort to our rain plan. (I should also mention that my husband isn’t too big on photos). However, we do have some fantastic photos together and I will cherish them forever.
