Custom Car Stereo

Yesterday I came into the CCS shop and was received by Bryan. He was so accommodating in accomplishing in a few short minutes of showing me exactly what I needed for my Pioneer car stereo. I had been to Best Buy and a few other places but Bryan was sharp and helped me end my search on the spot. I plan to continue using their service for all my car stereo needs.

These guys always treat us right. They installed some new stereo equipment for us and did a great job. They took the time to show us how to use it because it is way more sophisticated than I am! Now I have a killer radio system and i know how to use it. Woohoo. Thanks for a great experience each time guys. You have a customer for life.

Last Update: August 1: Arrived about 15 minutes before the appointment time. General Manager and Service Manager both met me, we went over the order and my truck was put right into the bay. Installation looks good and all seems to work okay. Now satisfied and recommend Custom Car Stereo.
July 31 I received a call from the General Manager. He was friendly and cooperative. Arranged to schedule a definite time to install and offered me some perks to make up for the issue I experienced. I thanked him for the offer; however, all I wanted was to have an install as agreed. He personally set up time tomorrow.
July 30: I arranged to have a Viper alarm installed in my truck at subject business. On July 23 (when I went in and discussed the system) the Viper alarm was one that is displayed with the others offered. He said they were out of stock and would have to order it; get it by the following Tuesday (July 28). I paid $ 100 down for the item as I agreed to an install time the next week at 1200 noon; July 30. I arrived July 30 at 1140 AM, 20 minutes early. I was then told by salesman John that I would have to leave my truck and could pick it up at end of business at 7:00 PM. When I paid the down payment I was told it would be a 2 to 3 hours install, that is why I made the 1200 noon appointment. Now he says 1200 noon was a drop off time not an appointment and he told me that on July 23. Not true. It was a definite appointment time as I told him I would have to wait for it. I then asked him if he knew when they could start on it. He said he did not know. AND. .. The installation bay was less than 50 feet away! He tried to use «circular logic» to explain his position. I was not buying that at all and decided to go elsewhere. I then told him to forget it and I wanted my $ 100 deposit back. He started to do it and then after a few seconds he said no refunds on a special order. Nowhere on my sales receipt does it say «special order». There is a mention in lower left that special orders must be paid in full. However, as evidenced by my sales receipt I paid $ 100.00 down, not full payment, so by that definition in writing it was not a special order. He never said it was a special order at any time last week. Salesman refused to return the $ 100.00.

Charged me over the quoted price, and was not completed by the time I was told to come in to pick up. They don’t seem to care about repeat business or word of mouth. Oh well, there are plenty of other shops. Unfortunate experience.

These guys are awesome, they have the best staff they are very well manner and very gentleman, I went there all the way from columbia to get my stereo check and at that point I realized I shiuld ask them if they could install my remote started without hesitation tbey were willing to help me and Civic the sales representative stayed there with us until my car was finished which it was way after hours. Overall im extremly please with their job and their staff. I wish they could re-​open in Columbia tho!

These guys go above and beyond to make the customer happy and they are genuine and trustworthy people. They did an install in my 2007 Lexus for an amp and 2 12s, and after about a year there was a problem with a loose wire which caused my amp to blow, and after working diligently to try and figure out what the problem was they decided to replace my equipment even though it was not originally purchased from them. I have never had a better customer service experience and I will never go anywhere else. I know that even in those cases where things go wrong, they will always guarantee their work and never leave the customer unsatisfied. I would personally like to thank the management, and John Willis for doing everything in their power to make the best of an unfortunate situation. Good customer service is hard to find these days, but these guys get it! They do good work, but very much like a lot of these places every single speaker/​wire/​part you purchase can be looked up at eBay and Amazon for almost half the price, I showed them the parts they tried to sell me online and they refused to match it. So I purchased the parts/​speakers online and just paid for the labor… Do your research for parts and price matching to save some cash.

I went there to fix an installation that was done by another company,
I told them what kind of music i like (house) and my budget, they gave me a price that was good for me and i left my car there.
after an hour they call me and explained me what’s wrong with my system.
It was a long list of bad things that was done to my car but the worst was the mounting of the sub to the back of the seat where all the batteries are located (its an hybrid)
they had to replace 2 of my new speakers and another 2 parts that i don’t know their name, build a custom made piece to make it look good, mount my tweeters IN the doors (not like the other company that dril it to the door).
with all the extra work and time that took them to work on my car they didn’t charged me extra $,
According to them: they set a price withe me and that’s what they will charge me, the extra work that they had to do is because they can’t let a car leave their shop and not look perfect !
Now how can you beat a customer service like that ?!!

I had a great experience with custom car stereo. They installed the leather interior into my brand new Subaru impreza sport. The installation took a couple of days, and I received my car back in time and was very satisfied with the work they did. Lacy, a manager? Called me the next day to tell me that she had seen photos of the interior and wasn’t completely happy with the way the leather in the back was laying and had already ordered a new panel. I was impressed that she had taken notice of the work of the company and had made strides to improve what I thought was already a job well done. Thanks Lacy and custom car stereo.

Custom Car Stereo’s owner is stuck up and useless, boasting about his products that do not effectively match the company’s poor service. All I wanted was an ipod adapter for my car, so that I did not have to hear the shitty sound of the radio. Claiming they are unable to install an aux cord, they installed an FM Modulator instead. From the moment I first heard the sound (with the rude owner sitting in my backseat), I immediately HATED the sound for the $ 240 price tag. The owner blamed it on the recording quality on my ipod (I use the least compression iTunes allows). Had they not drilled a hole in my console, I would have told them to remove it and refund me my money. But the hole was there and the shitty damage was done. Stunned, I thought «how is this any different than me buying a Monster ipod radio adapter for $ 25…well this should at least outlive my previous adapters». No such thing. By the second month of use with his amazing product, the cord stopped charging my ipod (really annoying for long road trips). I thought oh well, at least I still have half decent sound. By the third month, the cable frayed and the sound is now similar to a distant fairy singing with zero instrumentals behind it. I finally drove back to Custom Car Stereos, with the hope that they would be able to replace it. Not only was I blamed for my poor quality of music, but now the owner is blaming me for damage to a cord that has barely been used because it never worked to begin with. I highly suggest never doing business with Custom Car Stereos.
