Getting ready to renew my annual contract for the 4 yr. This dry stack marina is situated on Clouter Creek, approx. 5 miles from the Ravenel Bridge. Clouter Creek is a deep water creek of the Cooper River. The marina is easy to get to by car, off of Clements Ferry Rd. The marina is very customer service oriented. The staff will do almost anything you request. Their prices are competitive for the area. The boats are handled safely and cleaned fairly well before being placed in dry stack. They offer only non-ethanol gas which is a bit pricey but better for your motor than the ethanol laced gasoline. A small ship’s store offers a variety of cold drinks and snacks. There’s a great tiki hut outside that overlooks the marina as well as a new members lounge.

My folks keep their boat here and I must say, this marina which is on the newer side is getting better and better. They’ve just opened a really nice clubhouse/lounge for members to cool off, have a fun little outside bar that is open on weekends(last year they used to give away beer to members on Sundays!), and have a new little pavilion type spot down on the actual docks that will have live music from time to time. The guys who work at the marina are incredibly nice and well-skilled in maneuvering boats… so have no fear owners, you likely won’t find a scratch from them! Members can call and have their boat launched from I think 8am until 4pm. All boats are kept in dry docks and put in the water on request. If you get in after 4pm, you’re boat will be safe and sound, and placed back in the dry dock the following morning. The marina crew washes the saltwater off each boat before returning them to their covered stalls which ensures your boat stays as well-maintained as possible. There is also a small convenient store on site that sells beer, water, and a few other beverages. Overall, a really nice spot!

Fantastic marina all the way around! The boats are loaded in a safe matter and for the most part the drivers of the boats are very safe and professional(I only say for the most part because we did witness one young driver bump fairly hard into another in the summer of 2012). They just built a brand new clubhouse which is fantastic for relaxing. Beer can be purchased on site which is great and the outside bar is a nice area to sit around, although almost never staffed. I’ve enjoyed my experiences at Daniel Island Marina a lot and look forward to returning again soon. PS… going away from Charleston Harbor up the creek provides great boating on choppier days.

Great views, fairly priced. Openning a new lounge soon. Best part — free beer Sundays!
