That might have been the best breakfast I have ever had. Shrimp … Benedict. Wife had an ommelete. Service was outstanding.

Yummy brunch place! I went here with friends when I visited Charleston, and really enjoyed it. Even sitting on their outdoor patio when it was 90 degrees outside, I still had a wonderful experience! Our waitress was super friendly, chatty, and attentive. The food was amazing! I got a mimosa, brie omelette, and we shared beignettes, and everything was wonderful.(We got the beignettes with the Unilocal offer available when you check in!) The place was busy on a weekend morning but they still were able to seat us quickly. Great experience!

We were looking to enjoy some shrimp and grits after a hot, humid morning walking tour. Many of the restaurants serving them didn’t seem very gluten free friendly and the menu on the window that I had reviewed this morning appealed to me. We arrived between 12:30&1:00 to a very busy restaurant. Groups were waiting outside and inside. Luckily there were only two of us and we were welcome to sit at the bar. Up we hopped and the bartender(who was swamped with orders) cheerfully greeted us and took our beverage order while we looked at the menu. We placed our order of shrimp and grits(subbing the gluten-filled gravy out for hollandaise at the bartender’s suggestion when learning of my gf requirement) and the grilled asparagus salad with shrimp added. The food arrived quickly and in stages so we could enjoy each dish individually. The grits were creamy, the shrimp perfectly seasoned and cooked and the hollandaise complemented them perfectly. The asparagus salad had plenty of asparagus, hearts of palm and blistered cherry tomatoes and a hint of truffle. The lightness of the salad was a good pairing for us to share after the richness of the grits. Very happy with our lunch decision and the bartender’s chatting and friendly, helpful service all while she juggled drink orders was charming.

AMAZING! Best meal ever, hands down! My anniversary started out average enough until we arrived at Eli’s Table(which my husband selected based on reviews). Raymond was our waiter, as he walked away with our drink orders, he over heard me say, «Happy Anniversary» to my husband. He turned back around and said, «Today? And you choose to share it with us?». I said sheepishly, «Yes, its our 1st». Well that put a smile a mile wide on Raymond’s face, as if it were his own anniversary, and he set about dazzling us with Eli’s offerings and his amazing service. The service: Having worked in the restaurant industry it’s easy to spot«waiters» vs. «Professional Servers». Raymond is the latter and exceptional at that, anticipating our every need before we did. Explaining each dish in such vivid detail you could taste it. Based on our interest on the menu, he asked if he could select our dishes for the evening. Confident in his abilities, we happily agreed and were thrilled with every selection! In between courses, Raymond introduced us the the chef and manager Dominic. The Food: Prosciutto & Fig Crostini– I have never had anything quite as tasty– the combination of texture and taste was amazing! Crab Cakes-Fresh from the water, 4 hours earlier! I live in Atlanta and have had the good fortune to order this from some amazing chefs up here but this one was unreal! Fresh crab meat, amazing spices, remoulade sauce and a touch of lemon. Main Meal– Filet atop lobster risotto, topped with a fresh crab claw! It was spectacular! Crème Brulee– Classic. Perfection. Melted in front of our eyes by Raymond himself. I literally hugged Raymond, thanked him for a wonderful evening, waltzed out of Eli’s table, crossed the street and laid down on a step and began recalling my favorite parts of each course for my husband. He grinned, looking down at his silly wife. I smiled back, «this is going to be hard to beat for our 2nd anniversary». He said, «I know, that’s why we’re coming back here». I married a smart man. Run, don’t walk to Eli’s Table– ask for Raymond!

We visited Eli’s Table June 8. We had previously had a very enjoyable dinner Christmas week 2014. This time, however, we were disappointed. The waitstaff was wonderful, full of energy and information. We sat in the courtyard on a beautiful evening. The staff moved the fan so it wasn’t blowing directly on us. The food, however, was so ordinary. We went to dinner with a friend, who is the food manager at a local hotel. He was not critical of anything but we felt that the food was so unexceptional that we were highly disappointed and somewhat surprised. We had such a positive experience last time that we thought we had found«our» little restaurant in Charleston. Perhaps a tie-breaker will be required on our next visit.

Visited this restaurant with group of 12 for a bachelorette party and couldn’t have been happier with this place. The staff was phenomenal and everyone’s food was good.(I think it was closest I saw to plates being cleaned all weekend!) Thank you for a great evening!

Fantastic dinner with top notch service. My family and I ate out on the patio, which I think is even more charming than the interior of the restaurant. Our server was really friendly and accommodating. Really it was the best service out of all of the places we visited in Charleston. My husband and I split the duck and waffles. I was hesitant at first but it was a great meal that I’m sure to order again next time I’m in town. This definitely goes on my «Must Go» list for Charleston.

My wife and I took the day off of work to celebrate our anniversary on 06÷03÷16. We were walking around downtown Charleston and we decided to eat lunch here. We were first seated in the back by the kitchen. It was a high traffic area, cramped and loud. Trash bags being carried out by us(within inches of our table) and stuff being knocked over prompted a new seating request. My wife and I asked our server if we could be moved to a different table and she quickly found us a better spot especially with how busy she was. I would honestly recommend that they do away with the seating by the kitchen. — The service was great! As I said earlier we had requested to be moved and the server moved us instantly. Our server was very friendly and on top of the ball with bringing out refills for our drinks and checking to see if we needed anything. Probably one of the politest servers we have had. — Chicken and Biscuits! The chicken and biscuits were delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy. It was well seasoned and the breading to meat ratio was just right. The sweat tea gravy was new for us and it was really good. The potatoes were overcooked and could have used a little more seasoning but was not bad enough to have any negative effect on the meal as a whole. Overall, the service and food was great. Price was also reasonable. Could’ve of been 5 stars but the seating near the kitchen is a bad idea in my opinion and management should reevaluate that idea.

GREATBRUNCH! High starts for the food only. Service was not as highly rated. I had the french onion benedict, amazing!!! All of us really enjoyed everything we had. Other guests had the Shrimp & Grit bene and the Smoked Salmon Tartine. I would highly recommend. I will add, that our waitress was NOT happy. She never welcomed us, she never announced herself, in fact, I didn’t even realize she was even tending to our table until she asked if we decided what we wanted to eat yet, so bizzare. We all tried to be very polite and she tried to come around but seriously? In a town where you expect good food, first and foremost, service should not be second tier, it should be at level.

To be fair, I’m giving this place a 4 with the hopes that I got the server on a bad day. The server was allllll over the place… Apparently there were no clean mugs or silverware so we waited on both for quite some time! She recommended food that I don’t typically like, so to be fair my options weren’t coming from the top items the staff would suggest. The porch was gorgeous and relaxing, and for nothing else, I’d say Eli’s table might be worth it for an inexpensive brunch in a nice setting… Just don’t expect the very best food.

We choose to dine at Eli’s Table based on Unilocal reviews and the community did not let me down. A wonderful courtyard patio is available if you enjoy dining al fresco. They serve breakfast until 3 pm which is great if you get a late start to your day. They seem to encourage day drinking by offering a carafe of mimosas for $ 26 which I thoroughly enjoyed and have to admit I was tipsy by the end of our meal. Not at all a bad thing when you’re on vacation. If you are a mimosa fan these are the ones you’re looking for. No pulp, light on the OJ, heavy on the champagne. We took advantage of their Free App with Unilocal check-in and choose the Beignets. Average but in a good way. My husband ordered the Shrimp & Grit Benedict(Smoked gouda grit cakes, shrimp, two poached eggs, tasso ham gravy, breakfast potatoes) -$ 13. It all sounds amazing but in the end it was just ok. By no means bad but not amazing. I went with the Crab & Eggs(Southern fried crab cakes, 2 poached eggs, remoulade, arugula, breakfast potatoes) -$ 15. Yes to all of it! I’m from Maryland and even these cakes won my approval. Service, food, and atmosphere combined made this our favorite breakfast while in town and we will dine here again. If you are looking for a nice breakfast don’t hesitate to try them out. *1 Free Appetizer(up to $ 8) with Unilocal Check-In

My husband and I came here on Saturday and loved it so much we came back Sunday too! Sullivan was our waitress and she had wonderful recommendations! Saturday we ordered Eli’s Breakfast & Crab and Eggs & Mimosas. Sunday we ordered Yogurt Parfait, Beignets, Steak & Eggs and Eli’s breakfast again. Service is fabulous, food is fabulous and their outdoor seating is completely adorable! If you’re in Charleston you have to come here! We’ve tried many breakfast/brunch places and no measures up to Eli’s food & service! One thing I will note is don’t order the mimosa’s, they are the smallest mimosa’s we had the whole trip and they were the most expensive at $ 10.00. But that’s not worth me taking a star away for. Go here & Enjoy!

This restaurant was recommended to me by my Airbnb host. Apparently it’s been around for ages. I enjoyed a nice breakfast here on the patio. The menu is great and the food is delicious. I had a Bacon Bloody Mary to start, which is as amazing as it sounds. Gotta love a cocktail that comes with snacks! For my entrée, I had the crab and eggs– delish! The service was excellent and the prices are reasonable. Can’t go wrong here!

Really excellent chicken and waffles. Liked fried green tomatoes as well. Drinks were expensive, low octane, and not bold enough in their advertised flavors. Mimosas, also ordered by members of the group, more affordable by carafe.

Quaint restaurant with both indoor and patio seating. Lots of seating when we arrived shortly before 11am. Was great because they were still serving from the breakfast menu and had just opened the lunch one Had the Fried green tomato and pimento cheese app really really good! Soup of the day was a chicken and crab chowder? if you are familiar with Brunswick stew it was similar in appearance and texture. Super good!!! Shrimp and grits was the entrée and it was as advertised. I can see why it won in 2014 for best of. Great food, good atmosphere, and good service.

While visiting from out of town, I walked into Eli’s Table and was immediately greeted with Southern Charm enough to make be feel like family. The place is nicely decorated and the dining rooms and courtyard are comfortable. In addition to being my waitress, Sullivan shared interesting facts about the haunted history of Charleston. Turns out she leads ghost tours at night. Her service was perfect and the ghost stories were a fun twist. I ordered their award-winning Shrimp & Grits Benedict. The grits were perfect, the shrimp were tender and the eggs were perfectly done. Portion size was plenty and the coffee was excellent. This is a no-miss spot and I will definitely be back, probably even once more while I’m in town — I need more shrimp and grits in my life.

Shrimp and Grits. Nuff said. Two of my buddies and I came here the morning after my friend’s bachelors party and was looking for a good brunch to cure us of our hangover. That being said, it was lucky that we just walked in on a Saturday morning and immediately got a seat! Most places require a reservation ahead of time. I think it was because we got here at a relatively early time ~10 a.m. We were seated outside. Luckily for us the weather was pretty good(around 60 degrees Fahrenheit) however it was still chilly. The heaters outside didn’t provide that much heat just FYI. Opt for indoor eating if you think outside is cold. The outdoor seating was however very beautiful. The patio is 50% covered by a gigantic veranda. The other 50% is exposed to the elements. Indoor seating looked a little cramped, but I think that is how all Charleston restaurants are. We first ordered our hair of the dog drinks(aka alcoholic beverages aka life juice). Two of us ordered mimosas while the other ordered a Bloody Mary. BEWARE: The mimosas are $ 10 each! The Bloody Mary was $ 12. Freaking expensive for a tiny glass. Not sure what kind of champagne they used but whatever. MAJORKEY: Check in on Unilocal and you’ll receive a free appetizer($ 6 value) with a purchase of 2 entrees! We got free beignets out of it! I ordered the Shrimp and Grits Benedict. It was absolutely divine. Comes with 2 stacks: the bottom is a patty of grits followed by large whole shrimp drizzed in a delicious creamy gravy followed by a perfectly poached egg. Oh and the whole thing was again drizzled in the creamy gravy. This all came with a side of fries and a lonely orange slice. My boys got omelettes(with a lonely orange slice) which also looked pretty dope. Definitely coming back here when I come back to Charleston!

What a great place! The cuisine is Southern American but with a French flare! The establishment has many yummy things to choose from. We were a party of 3 and it was approximately 1pm. They serve breakfast until 3pm, which is fantastic if you want a late start to the day. I had the pear salad which was good but more of an appetizer size. The croquet Madame, which was ordered by my aunt was larger and more satisfying, thank goodness. My cousin ordered the crab cakes with potatoes which were also hearty and a good dish! If you check in on Unilocal they offer a free $ 6 appetizer so we had the fried green tomatoes which were pretty good as well. The outside area feels like a nature sanctuary and you definitely see cute birds(mostly sparrows that are far from shy). The service was quick but not rushed. The prices were just right! All in all, a good place to eat!

The Quick: Cozy restaurant, accommodating staff, amazing southern food, and romantic outdoor seating area. Fairly expensive, but absolutely worth it. The Details: Eli’s defined Southern Charm for our short girls weekend. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We split the shrimp & grits(a must try) and the duck & waffle– both savory yet sweet. The outdoor area is lit by twinkle lights and outdoor heaters; such a peaceful spot. The staff was great– shoutout to Cory and Dylan who made our evening extra special. Pro Tip: They charge $ 5 split fee for the Shrimp & Grits(which includes an additional large shrimp). We thought it was worth it, but you can save a bit by splitting yourself. The Damage: 2 entrees came to ~$ 65 before tip. It was our most expensive meal in Charleston but was truly wonderful.
