Fabulous Frocks

Fabulous Frocks is really the most wonderful bridal boutique. I live in SF and was visiting Charleston and on a whim, decided to stop in. I called in the middle of the afternoon to make an immediate appointment and they happily accommodated me. I had already tried on countless dresses at 7 stores in SF and Los Angeles and didn’t love anything. Right away, I found at least 3 dresses at Fabulous Frocks that I loved. After some debate between the 3 dresses, I ended up buying a dress without even taking time to think about it. What’s great is you can get the dress immediately rather than having to order 5 months ahead of time. Only downside is limited sizing, but that’s how samples work. I worked with Margaret, who is a complete gem. She was patient, supportive and helpful. Because I came in so late in the day, we went past the closing time. But Margaret so sweet about it and she didn’t try to rush me at all. I’m not sure why there aren’t more Unilocal reviews about this place, but I would recommend it 100%!

Jordan at Fabulous Frocks is wonderful! She made wedding dress shopping fun and stress-​free. She helped me pick out dresses within my price range and cheerfully assisted me with all the zipping, buttoning, tying, etc involved with trying on dresses– it was like shopping with a old friend!
Fabulous Frocks has an excellent variety of dresses. The prices run anywhere from around $ 800 to thousands. I bought a sample designer dress valued at $ 2,530 for $ 900! I also bought a casual white dress for brunch, a veil, and a beautiful bracelet. The veil was probably overpriced but I was happy to pay for the convenience. I bought everything else for a steal! I couldn’t have been happier!
Alterations with Evelyn went very well. Both my wedding dress and the casual dress were returned to me in less than a week! Also, Evelyn will work with you until your dress fits perfectly-​no additional charge. I had a great experience!

went by because I was in town for the day and another consignment shop told me about fabulous frocks. with two people working they refused to help me saying they had someone with an appointment coming in. I was there for about 20 minutes looking around and no one ever came in for said appointment. In my personal opinion the dresses are way overpriced most are dirty or have rips I saw a few with horrible armpit stains. I never felt welcomed to be there or able to ask anything but they did look me up and down and say what sizes they carried making me feel as if I was being told I was too big for the dresses they had. I wear a ⁴⁄₆ which is a ⁸⁄₁₀ in gown size their sizes according to them start at 10 but after looking I saw a few 8’s so I don’t know I guess they just didn’t feel like helping me. defiantly wouldn’t shop there or send anyone there ever!

I loved working with everyone at Fabulous Frocks! They made the decision and alterations a breeze. Not to mention I LOVE LOVE LOVE my dress, and the price was a steal. I went to one other wedding dress shop in Charleston, and wanted to leave immediately after my experience at Fabulous Frocks. The service, support and amazing dresses cannot be beat! A huge thank you for helping me find the dress of my dreams!

I used Sarah and her team to find my wedding dress. After much searching, they did such a FABULOUS job of making me feel comfortable and took their time to help me find the right dress. They also allow you to take pictures in your dress, which was VERY helpful. I am a wedding planner professionally and reccomend them to ALL o my brides as they are the best in town! Save yourself some time (and money!) and visit the wonderful ladies of Fabulous Frocks :)
