I’ve been to this location a few times, but it’s very out of the way for me from where I live, so I only come here when I’m downtown on East Bay. It pretty much has everything I’m looking for, and it’s set up in a very relaxing and easy to find stuff kind of way. Today I just tried a few muffins for breakfast, and some milk bones for my dog, and with my Vic card I saved a little bit of cash too. Parking is always plentiful when I come here, and the staff is very friendly.

we always find a little supermarket to go to when on vacation. I mean it’s usually better prices for some juice/soda then like a walgreens. this place was great and not too far.

This Teeter is right next door to where I work, so I frequent it often. Being that it’s down town, it probably gets way more than it’s share of visitors. I’m usually getting coffee and the occasional breakfast. The deli makes really good hot croissant sandwiches. You can get either ham or bacon with egg and cheese. Or no meat at all! what ever you like. As far as grocery goes, it’s OK. Nothing to stand out here. But then again, I like consistency among brands. Of course I’ll return. It’s right next door!

Harris Teeter what? I’m from Texas… So I typed in Whole Foods Near Me and the only one in Charleston was about 20 minutes outside of town so instead about 5 «Harris Teeter’s» popped up and was like hmmm with a name like that can’t be good. However a journey to the local grocery store happened late at night and I went exploring the local fare and turned out to be a great adventure. The entrance is odd with stairs and a long ramp I’m guessing for the snow or flood waters? The store itself is pretty packed in, great selection of produce, gluten-free items, and whatever else you may need. They did have a huge meat and cheese selection and I’m guessing since they’re close to New York which is a big thing. A lot of the store items remind me of a Texas grocery store with a lot of the same vendors. They could expand on the gluten-free selection and improve the layout but overall the brick arches and cool quaint feel was pretty legit to venture outside of a corporate industrial HEB complex. Good Ol’ Harris Teeter, until I see you again. Open 24⁄7 and Self Check Out. HOLLA.

I shop here weekly and I’m always pleased with the customer service. One time I left a bag of groceries. When I realized it and called the store regarding my forgotten bag, even though it wasn’t found, the manager was incredibly trusting and helpful(too bad the people in line behind me were not). I generally shop late and get a lot. The cashiers are always polite and will scan my goods even though the store goes to a you scan system. I really like the people they hire here. I trust them and they reciprocate that.

Excellent customer service!!! They were out of umbrellas and they apologized and then gave me one from their lost and found. Who does that? Seriously that’s what customer service is all about. The store has a great selection and was very clean. Highly recommend!!!

I enjoy shopping at this location. It’s pretty clean, the prices are great, and the people that work here are usually pretty friendly. They do have a Starbucks within the store, so bonus points for that. The produce section is usually filled with fresh goods. The bakery and deli section are also great and offer a lot of options. Good beer and wine selection too. It’s also convenient that they are open 24⁄7.

Stopped here for some items while on vacation. It was a decent little walk from our hotel. It reminded me of a Whole Foods or Fresh Market. Seemed to have a lot of items catering to food allergies as well as vegan/vegetarians. The prices were similar to those establishments as well. The biggest plus is that it is open 24 hours. So if you forget something while on a trip or just decide you want to go grocery shopping at 2am, this is your place!

I actually like this location better. They usually have everything on stock which is great. I enjoy their super double coupons weeks. They have a big variety of organics which is a plus for me! Although it does have a funny layout for a store. Employees are always wonderful and helpful. Store is always clean. Dont leave your car here thinking its free parking for downtown. You will get a BOOT on your wheel. I saw a few cars BOOTED! Never seen a real boot till i came to this store. They look the same as TV! lol

Not a bad supermarket especially since it is open 24⁄7 but the prices are a little high for me. The quality and quantity of the food is adequate.

Wow, this grocery store is huge and fancy! I really liked the separate produce/flower section that had the Starbucks in it, as well as the nice wine section and we were there around lunchtime and there were hardly any lines despite its downtown location. It is larger than the Harris Teeter that I used to frequent in Ballston. Two problems: one, for a grocery store that is this big and nice that also serves drinks, I think they should have better bathroom facilities. The bathroom was not very clean and you have to wind around through the back warehouse to get to it. And second, the fish selection was a little disappointing. The Ballston Harris Teeter has a very nice fish selection including sashimi grade fish and a wide variety of other options. Here, there was less variety and no sashimi grade fish! Sad, especially because it is in Charleston! I associate Charleston in my mind with good seafood. Oh well, all in all this was a nice, clean, conveniently-located store that meets almost all needs except for seafood. A-OK.

Can you come to Antwerp please? As a European this supermarket is huge. You def need a Starbucks before entering and I love the fact that you have free wifi althrough the store. I don’t know if the pricing is expensive compared to anywhere else but it seemed that way to me.

Smack dab in the center of town with a generous parking lot. It is from the Albertson’s family of grocery stores. It was clean, stocked, organized, well lit, wide aisles… but nothing gourmet or something to write home about. They do carry bread from a local bakery and I did see a cheese made from a local creamery… nice touches as I am a fan of reducing your carbon footprint and supporting/eating local. There was a Starbucks inside with four tables and free wireless. You could also get a sub or a mini pizza(but it is ready in 90 seconds-ew). I would also skip the sushi. Small beer selection with a mix your own six pack option. No liquor. They did have some decent snacks like seeded curry mango tortilla chips, Sahale snacks, and Hint Fizz Water. Also, you can pick up some fresh cut flowers. There were tables set up outside which was a nice treat for my tired barking dogs aka feet… and I found it entertaining watching two guys drinking beer out of their refillable water bottles… very odd. The bathroom is in the back by the stockroom…

This is a very nice store and easy to access for tourists. They have a good wine section and many yummy prepared foods if you want to get something to go. It is a full sized grocery store, so you can find virtually anyhing you are looking for here. We usually shop here whenever we are in town for something or another.

Came to this Harris Teeter for a couple of times when I was visiting from NYC. It’s a huge supermarket. It’s pretty nice and doesn’t look cheap at all. Tons of parking outside. Service was good. They have a a wine section, nice bakery, a Starbucks inside and tons of other goodies that you can’t find at other grocery stores.

Definitely the best grocery store in the downtown area. Great produce selection(I can usually bet that I won’t have to be looking for decades to find something that doesn’t classify as «mystery fruit») and pretty awesome sandwiches. Great overall selection of items. I also am a fan of the self-checkout. All this being said, who am I kidding– the biggest reason I go here instead of biting the bullet and driving out to one of the health food markets is to eat their free sugar cookies by the entrance. So. Good.

My home away from home. The service is impeccable. The vegetables and fruit are always fresh and a small but very fresh selection of meats. Did I fail to mention that the wine selection is top notch for the Charleston area. The prices may be a little higher but they make up for it in sales and double coupons(if you use them). I always have a refreshing experience when I show at HT

Open 24 – 7, this«Teeter» tries to be all things to all people, and actually does an OK job. Whether you’re shopping for a gourmet meal, or just making a beer run, you have a pretty decent chance of finding what you’re looking for. And you can drink Starbucks coffee while doing it. Unfortunately, this is not a tightly run operation. My bags have made it into other customer’s carts(hope miscellaneous frat boy in front of me enjoyed the veggie burgers), computers have malfunctioned, price checks have been called… And there’s always some guy trying to convince you to use the self-checkout. It’s not enough that you just don’t want to, he needs a REASON. If you have a car, spend the gas money on a trip to James Island. The Folly Rd HT has all of the selection, wider aisles, cleaner floors, and better service.
