In Good Taste

A must visit place. Love the friendly, casual atmosphere and knowledgeable staff! The tastings every Friday 5 – 7 and Saturday 2 – 4 are a sure way to find a new favorite or at least to learn about different styles of wine! Of note, they also sell fantastic cheese and chocolate :)

When last we were in Charleston, we stopped by In Good Taste. The staff was great: very friendly, super efficient, and they know their wines. Because we had such a good experience there in person, we had them prepare gift boxes for gifts we could not deliver in person.
Using only a price range and our description of our recipients’ preferences, In Good Taste prepared outstanding gift boxes that were real hits. Since In Good Taste is able to get wines that cannot be found in the big box stores, the wines they put into the gift boxes were really special and our friends knew it.
We are sorry that they are so far away and that we can visit their store only occasionally. But we will shop there every time we are in Charleston and we cannot recommend them strongly enough. If you are looking for great wine at very reasonable prices and can get to Charleston, make In Good Taste your first stop.

I’ve been back to In Good Taste a couple of times. I’m still not a fan of their style of tastings (I’ve become spoiled by the tastings at Crushed). They must have just been having a bad day for service the first time I went, because I’ve had much more pleasant visits recently.
I will say that they’ve come through more than once when I’ve been looking for wines that I haven’t been able to find in stock in any of the other local wine shops.
