Their fresh meat and seafood is very good quality. Produce dept leaves much to be desired. Shelves throughout store often empty for weeks at a time. I’ve been shopping there for years. Just recently I had an issue with wanting a large cut of meat and being told everytime that either the butcher was gone for the day (at 2:30) or that they just bleached the back and couldn’t cut anymore meat (at 5:30). One day I got there at 11 am and was given the wrong cut of meat (which cost me $ 27). (dont know what it was or even if it was beef or not. It tasted awful and had to be thrown away. Kroger gave me my money back. As far as meat goes, I will only buy already packaged meat there or seafood already on display. I now go to another store for large special cuts. The butcher is much nicer now, though.
