Long John Silver’s

Had to wait for 25 min for order. Once food came it was ok, but restaurant is filthy.

Ok. The neighborhood is a little underwhelming, but Long John Silver’s is a bright spot.
Sometimes when I’m traveling, I can’t take one more burger stop or another pizza. The fast-​food fish places are sometimes hard to find without straying too far off the main highway. This LJS was a nice find. Despite the area, the store itself is super clean, in fact, the minute someone left, an employee was cleaning the table and sweeping the floor. The trash cans weren’t overflowing even though it was at the tail end of the lunch-​rush. The food was ready quickly and it was hot. It hadn’t been sitting under the warmer. Bonus for that.
LJS does a great batter on their fish, and those little crispy crunchy batter pieces are almost the highlight. At times like this, splurge. Go back to healthy eating at the next stop.
