Our HVAC system started acting up and my husband called Myatt as soon as it happened, I think he chose them based on proximity as it was the closest to our house. They came out right away, which was great service, and told us we needed a new HVAC system. They guy told us if we decided right then and there to go with them and let them do the job, they could have it done asap. However, if we waited until after 3pm that day(this was around 9am) the price would increase about 15% «due to their workload and availability» or something like that. That was felt bunk, like a Sales-by-Pressure tactic. When you are about to drop $ 5,000, its important to shop around and know your options. 15% is a pretty large increase with a price tag that high. When we did call around to other HVAC companies, their prices were far lower, without the 15% increase, they offered better equipment, and they did not seem to understand any reason why a company would place so much urgency on making a choice that quickly other than Sales By Pressure. Myatt seemed knowledgeable enough but their approach to trying to get us to pick them put a bad taste in my mouth. We ended up getting a better deal elsewhere anyway.
