Poor business ethics — three words that describe ‘not so worthwhile’. Owners placed a stock order over a year ago and never paid, so overseas supplier is still tying to recover losses. The product was of the highest quality, bespoke and hand made by a craftsman who put blood, toil, tears, and sweat into it. So if you feel like buying what was stolen, go for it.

This boutique is rad. My only complaint is they don’t carry men’s clothes. But if you have seen the way 99.9% of the guys in The South dress, it makes sense. This is not an «All Saints type store». These are the clothes All Saints tries to knock off. If you are in Charleston, shop here.

This store caught our eye so we popped in to have a look. Am I just being paranoid? We walked around the entire store nearly twice — even made eye contact with associates — no one even greeted us! What the heck? There are a lot of cute trinkets here, but over-priced.(If I have to see marked-up washu masking tape one more time… I’m going to scream.) The clothes are unique(for style, think AllSaints Spitalfields). The sizes run bigger and again, the pricing seems skewed. I guess they are aiming to appear higher end… but to me seemed they are trying too hard. I think the most appealing pieces were jewelry. I was very close to purchasing some adorable earrings for my friend, but like I said — no one felt like acknowledging me or my boyfriend. Oh well.

The store looks empty and I took a peek at some price tags which were astronomical. I purchased a large canvas beach tote, which they didn’t have a bag for. I carried it around while I shopped for hours on King St. I was disappointed to see that the rough texture of the bag actually destroyed the Saks dress I was wearing. The ½ price beach bag ended up destroying a $ 100 dress. No fun…

I love this store. It’s like a high end all saints clothing store with sweaters and dresses that could be two months rent but would be utterly fabulous. Their candles and books are fun to play with. If I had 6 grand to blow I’d drop it all here. Seriously.

This is a store where everything’s perfect. The type of store that I was afraid to go into as a teenager for fear of accidentally breaking something and having to forfeit several months’ allowance to repay its damage. Who are the people who can afford these artistically displayed $ 1,000 dresses made of simple, natural fibres with clean lines — that look effortless chic?(We’re talking Phillip Lim & Loeffler Randall having $ 20 a rosebud tea out of platinum cups with Japanese-inspired gold and diamond stirrers) Who are the people who can poke through gorgeous displays of trinkets«that we picked up at the Paris Flea Market» and not want to cherish each one? Who can resist the Smell of this place — it just reeks of crisp, cool refinement. Answers to these questions, I don’t have. What I do know is, if money is no object, this is the place you want to throw it around.

Fantastic buying, great store design, and lovely surprise of high fashion in the back. Drawbacks: the mark up is high and the owner could brush up on her listening skills. If you’re shopping from out of state — have it shipped and save on tax.

I find it a little strange that all but one of Worthwhile’s other reviewers have been men. It sells avant-garde clothing and shoes, unique jewelry, and home goods in a great utilitarian-industrial space. Definately worth visiting if you need some Swedish crayons, sandalwood candles or just to check out the well-edited inventory.

What on EARTH? Some incredible women’s clothing, from Inhabit to Blade Runner avant-garde pieces, in historic Charleston, surrounded by a bunch of places I could only buy a banker’s suit or some beads to put on my hemp necklace. I’m not sure how dudes in Bob Marley shirts and cargo shorts get girls that wear stuff like this, but they must be brain geniuses, because that’s all I saw of the male population while visiting Charleston. Anyway. Neat well curated clothing for cutting edge girls that travel out of town to find boyfriends.

Another fantastic store that I wish they had in Atlanta! Worthwhile is definitely one of those places you would run into if you are looking for a quick gift on your way to a birthday or date. They have everything from women’s clothing, accessories for your home, candles, body fragrances, and other fun kitchy items. Some of the items to highlight are their purses/bags, books, and jewelry. All are very affordable and very unique. They also have a lot of cool gifts that I could only find on line like the flower seed that grows a message! I highly recommend to check this store out when you are in Charleston. It’s also nice to see that you can shop on line at their website!

While at first glance this appears to be another King Street store catering to those with a bottomless budget, the household goods and clothing they sell here are definitely a cut above the rest. Ok, so the prices are a cut above as well, but the sale rack offers some pretty good bargains and would be worth perusing every other week or so as new items are added. They stock a small selection of whimsical Orla Keily handbags, which my wife loves but refuses to shell out the big bucks to own. Lo and behold we found a wallet for half price on the sale shelf, so she left the place happy as a bee. Plenty of other dreamy gifts and kooky books to browse and bemuse yourself with while shuffling up the King.

Worthwhile is, without question, my favorite shop on King Street. Everything they carry is so unique and hand-crafted. My most recent purchase was a pair of recycled paper bowls, and they’re amazing. I love the Orla Kiehly bags and the paper products(Im addicted to paper products!). My only regret is that they no longer carry Campers shoes which are truly the greatest. Sigh…

This is a cool little store right in the thick of things on King Street. The front has household odds and ends with modern design flair. They have a few Alessi chachkas and some interesting books. The also have a few baby items and the back is all womens’ clothes.
