Beachcomber Restaurant & Bar

This is more seedy bar than restaurant but the low prices make up a little for the atmosphere. Food is generally good but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Service is slow, often taking an hour from the time you order until the time your food arrives. From what the waitress says this is because there is only ever 1 person in the kitchen and, from my experience, they’re argumentative. Examples below from 2 seperate visits…
Example: I’d like nachos with cheese
Response 10 minutes later from the kitchen: Not on the menu.
Me: But there are nachos with beef, nachos with chicken
Waitress: Yes, we could make it but we won’t.
Example: I’ll need a burger to go bc one of our party can’t make it
Response: We can’t do that because it’s a specially priced item you’d have to order it for here and box it up yourself.
Me: What if I paid the normal price.
Response: It’s a special price today, you have to box it up here yourself.
At this point its clear that arguing is the specialty.
