Nothing like walking the Freedom Trail’s Charlestown leg and discovering this seemingly ghetto ice cream truck with «ICE COLD WADDA» drawn in crayon on the side! Jimmy himself is super friendly, despite jokingly trying to charge me $ 12 for the choco taco I wanted (I was wearing a Yanks hat… his treats are really priced between $ 2 and $ 3). We all talked sports for a good ten minutes, then he went off and started chatting it up with the local residents who were sitting out, as well as some others walking the Freedom Trail.
In the summer months, Jimmy’s truck is located on the North West corner (hey isn’t that someone’s name now?!) of Winthrop Square… If you’re looking for a quick ice cream fix or bottle of cold ‘watta’, Jimmy’s is a worthy rest stop!
