The most shockingly terrible customer service! I received a rude voicemail from Angel, regarding an order that was placed via Teleflora at «a very late date» in which she asked if I would even be there to receive the flowers. Her tone was sour and dismissive. I called back to express how upset I was with this low level of customer service only to have Angel tell me «I’m tired… I’ve been here all day… I’m hungry… We’re so busy!» Then she began to CRY on the phone with me… As someone who works in customer service, I was appalled and dismayed that someone would conduct themselves like this! All it took was an apology. Once the flowers arrived, the delivery man would not even leave them! He took them and left without any explanation! After getting him on the phone, the gentleman(I use that word loosely) remarked, «Who are you? The principle? Are you going to take me to school? This isn’t worth the $ 15 to us! You aren’t even the customer– you’re the recipient! You’re not even our client!» They refused to deliver the flowers and even cancelled the order through Teleflora, because apparently my wanting to speak with someone about how I didn’t appreciate their customer service was asking too much. Really remarkable that people would act this way and still expect people to use them. As someone who works in event planning and luxury real estate, I will be SURE to tell this story to anyone who asks about florists. Even worse for them, I live in a luxury high rise and our concierge has noted the experience and will not be recommending them-too bad, since we have over 700 units. Cannot say it enough: TERRIBLE!

If you order based on what you’ve seen on the website, ask many questions. what I ordered was the same plant but nothing else. I ordered the money tree which is braided with square planter, deerfoot moss and black and white rocks. I received a single stalk in a metal bucket planter with spanish moss. two very different looks. The person that received the plant was happy enough but my expectations were not met. I felt rushed when ordering and when I called to express disappointment afterwards, I was merely told they could not do what I had expected. I’ll try elsewhere next time.

Angel(the owner) is awesome! She has done a few arrangements for me and they have been beautiful! In addition, they delivered a wonderful plant to my boyfriend during work on Valentines Day. He loved it! The store is really neat, a lot of cool stuff! I was talking with the owner and she says she does a lot of gift baskets so she has to keep the store stocked for any occasion. If you want to keep it local, definitely call them!

I’ve used these guys for several last minute floral needs, and they’ve always come through. They’re really good about making sure that they create what you want and within the budget you give them. They also have a huge selection of gifts and goodies to throw together with the flowers to complete the gift giving extravaganza. My favorite part? They called the day of my wedding to make sure I hadn’t chickened out! And park in the gravel lot across the street, it’s easier to get in and out of.

When Baskets and Blossoms moved to the South End area, I was a bit worried. They aren’t really flanked by any other retail shops and stand fairly lonely on Mint St. However, a while back my colleagues sent me some flowers for my birthday from Baskets & Blossoms and they were gorgeous! A nice man from Baskets & Blossoms delivered them to my door, didn’t mind my crazy beagle and introduced himself and the company when delivering my pretty buds. The arrangement was happy, bright and perfectly created. Plus, the flowers stayed beautiful for well over a week. Next time I need a flower arrangement, I’ll check out Baskets & Blossoms — they keep it local!

She flung together a great little arrangement for me in just a few minutes, and did it for 50% of my budget. That’s pretty nice, because once I told her my range she could easily have maxed me out. But she restrained herself and made me a beautiful piece for a bargain. While she put it together I had a little poke around the store. Can’t think of the last time I saw so much useless crap in one place. No one needs 3 inch traffic cones and bottle openers shaped like a hammer. And these«Over 60 but I know how to party» pins have a preeeeetty limited appeal to most demographics. But I digress. Nice flowers, reasonable price.

Love this place! A shop that you can go to and spend an hour just browsing around at all of the adorable things in there. Judy will walk you around and explain to you what the best sellers are, and why Christmas items are already out. They custom make beautiful gift baskets, and specialize in floral arrangements(both real and silk) for weddings and other occassions. You can see their work sampled around the store. They are stocked with seasonal items as well as every day items, and if you visit this place you will be sure to walk out with something you just have to have.
