twelve years I have been a capital one credit card user. customer service now treats you like you’re a criminal. But mostly capital one has a fraud problem. This year alone I have had 3 fraud cases. Three times I have had to get a new credit card number. Two of these cases were less then 2 weeks apart.
Do yourself a favor. and save yourself from a lot of stress and hassle and NEVER EVER sign up with a capital one credit card. Your purchases are not safe with Capital One.

Capital One Update: subsequent to my 12⁄30 post, a similar post on Credit Karma, and Yahoo; a BBB complaint; and an email to the CEO with copies of all; Capital One today contacted me and said they would waive the annual fee.
