Every time I travel north of Florida I am on the look for Caribou. The hot chocolate is Amazing!!! I stocked up on chocolate chips tins. The coffee is great and friendly staff.

hard to find if you are not local to the area. But they uphold the caribou standards

One of the last remaining Caribous in Charlotte, I’m glad this location is still here. Super convenient to the Overstreet Mall, it’s located on the upper level in Founders Hall so it gets a lot of traffic. I’d consider the space«large» in the uptown sense since there is a fireplace and a handful of tables and spots to sit in. If you can’t find a spot to sit down, you can always bring your coffee or hot/cold beverage of choice out into the Founders Hall area(tables flank the upper level and there are benches and more tables in the lower area). Service is quick and friendly. I come here to find greeting cards(since they offer Papyrus cards here). They also offer quick breakfast items here(until they run out. which tends to happen a lot)… just small, quick sandwiches(pre-prepared and heated up) to go with your coffee. I’m not a coffee expert, but I do like coming here and getting their mocha on occassion. I don’t really have an affinity to the«other place» with the green aprons, but it seems to me there are always lines at the other place no matter what time of day. At least Caribou can keep their competitors honest by being here.

If Caribou coffee was as popular and widespread as Starbucks, that would be fantastic. Best coffee. Full disclosure– I like French pressed coffee, but when I don’t have that Caribou is my go to caffeine.

As a native of Ohio I was stoked to find out there was a Caribou in Charlotte-let alone Uptown. Nearly all of the locations up north shut down so I was super excited when I walked past this location on my way to work. This location is ALWAYS busy, but they are super fast! A line of 20 will go down in less than 5 minutes, which is great compared to the Starbucks nearby. They also offer almond milk and vanilla soy milk on the counter for you to add to your coffee, which is a nice alternative to creamer. Plus they don’t charge extra for it. Score!

This is such a great location. The staff is super friendly, and is consistently fast. There’s been a few times they have my drink ready before I even walk over to the pick-up counter. AND, I love that it’s always the same staff. I’ve been going here for almost two years and I recognize almost every face in there. Low turn-over tells you what type of place it is. Their crafted pressed coffee is legitttttt. Wayyyyy better than Starbucks cold brew, and I’m actually biased more towards Starbucks. If you want to kick it up a notch, try the White Chocolate Crafted Press. Dessert in a cup, with the added bonus of caffeine! Great coffee + great service = happy me.

A good place to grab coffee in Founder’s Hall. It’s standard Caribou. The staff here is friendly, fast. I think I come at off hours because I normally walk straight to the counter and order. However, late morning I have seen a big line. They also have lots of tables just outside the coffee shop. This is a favorite meeting place for people who work in Corporate Center.

Obviously they have great coffee and love their cappuccino. The ambience is great as well giving that cabin look and feel in the searing area with the fake fire place. It’s cool. Baristas are always cool, and they got some nice merchandise. Need more shops around for sure.

Always fast service, great banter with the staff. Only 4 stars for lack of seating, great location in Founders Halls

This afternoon we got two large regular coffees«for the road»($ 2.19/each plus tax) and the coffee was very good. Also, the guy who took our orders was incredibly friendly and his co-workers were also friendly. As an aside, the interior of the(Bank of America) building is really attractive.

Been coming to this place in mornings and on lunch breaks almost going on three years now and was quite happy to know that this location was not selected for closing, unlike the ones Park Road and East Boulevard. Coffee is excellent, all of the time. Staff are marvelous, friendly, and know people by name(as well as learn your orders and take them before paying, if you come often enough). The breakfast foods(i.e. oatmeal, biscuits) I’ve ordered on occasion and liked them. Keep up the great work Caribou.

I do love Caribou Coffee. I know it’s a chain & it’s not as high-brow as some other choices in Charlotte, but they are super-consistent, friendly, cheerful and moderately-priced. I will choose Caribou over any other chain around.

Caribou is the best chain coffee house hands down!

Yes, it’s a chain but at least it’s a better chain than Starbucks! ;) Well, it is! I always get a decaf americano whenever I go to a coffee shop and I base my review on that specific drink and my experience there. I came here a few times when the cold was really starting to get to me. It gets nice and toasty by the fireplace. I always felt like I was sitting in someone’s living room when I would post up here. It’s super cozy! They also have plenty tables outside of the shop as well. The staff is always friendly and the coffee is good. They have chalkboards with a different question written on them each morning and it’s fun to see everyone’s responses and, of course, I liked to put up my personal responses. I also like how they have two condiment stations so you don’t have to wait so long for others to put the finishing touches on their drinks.

I was at the Aria in the same building for a lunch meeting — I ducked into Caribou for some caffeine before my meeting started. As I had only about 3 hours of sleep the night before at the Aloft Epicentre Hotel(due to a stupid nightclub next door playing loud music until 2:00 am on a Wednesday night) — I was really tired and dragging. There were quite a few people in line ahead of me — but the two folks working the registers quickly whittled the line down. I ordered a triple shot iced latte with whole milk. Drink came up fast as was exactly what my brain cells needed! Strong, tasty, and delicious! Nice location in the Bank of America Corporate Center. And free Wifi!

Love the Earl Grey Tea& Coffee, not as strong as some other coffee shops. I love their bakery options, banana bread, poppy seed bread, etc. Unfortunately the wait time is long and I do wish they offered bagels, like a lot of other places. The servers are friendly and always welcoming!

Good stop station for a quick afternoon pick me up or a morning boost. Service has always been good. Caribou is probably in my top 5 coffee spots but something about the company in general just isn’t appealing enough to search it out and grab a cup over and above DD or Starbucks. Nothing specific, just bad marketing maybe? Or lack of in general. I’m sure if I worked in Founders Hall I would probably have a different perspective but oh well. In general nothing wrong with this location and the coffee is just fine… so enjoy!

Great coffee/treats and a perfect location for a meeting away from the cube farm if you work in the Bank of America Plaza or Corporate Center. Of course, if you don’t work uptown, this is probably not the most convenient location as you’d need to pay a pretty penny for parking in the area. Located in Founder’s Hall means there are quite a few tables to grab around the shop, as well as seating inside next to the fire if you need to warm up. And the staff at this location is always super friendly and energetic. Beware of the upsell, though… it was pointed out to me that a large coffee is only $ 0.10 more than a medium, so I went for it, but it ended up being WAY too much caffeine. Will stick with the medium next time while thanking the barista for her helpful suggestion. The lines always look really long, but the service is quite quick, so don’t stress about that. A medium coffee is only $ 1 on Mondays and they’ve recently instituted«happy hour» during the week from 3−5pm, which includes $ 3 coffee drinks and $ 1 cookies. Fantastic deals for an afternoon pick-me-up. There’s also free Wi-Fi, and if you sit inside the shop, there are plugs for your laptop.

Outlets, fast wifi, good looking people walking around — yes yes yes. $ 1 coffee Mondays? SWEET. Only if there were outlets outside of the shop — then it’d be the bestest of the best, but I guess one of the bestest of the best is an alright thing.

I love this Caribou location! As Krishan said the staff is very energetic and very happy to see you and you can’t beat that. They have $ 1 Medium Drip Coffee on Mondays and as all Caribous do, have a trivia question o the day where you can get $.10 off your coffee. You can sit inside in one of their cozy seats and sip on your drink or walk out into Founders Hall and enjoy it there. If you sign up on their email list, you can get coupons and special offers on their coffee, teas, smoothies and packaged coffee. It’s not really convenient to just drive to and get a beverage but if you work in the Uptown area it’s quite convenient. There’s usually a line in this place but it goes by quickly and I have no problem dealing with that for a nice, hot fresh cup of joe.
